Rishi Dhawan was impressive

At the moment he is the most perfoming allrounder in domestic season.If he is taking wicket on the helpful dharmashala pitch,then there are other bowlers like Vikramjit Malik in the team.And if he is scoring runs on the dharamshala pitch,then his batting is also good.If he is given a chance he could be a good no 7 batsman and a decent backup to the main bowler Shami,Yadav,Kumar.He can be very helpful in away series SA,England.NZ

I would like to see him play in a FC match before forming any opinion, positive or negative. Any potential genuine alrounder is rare and deserves some interest.

I think he looked good in the IPL, he often beat defensive strokes. He is not someone who takes all his wickets caught on the boundary. Good swing bowler and unusually skiddy.

Batting average of 44 and bowling average of 24 in FC is excellent. How is he a bits and pieces player ? Looks like a genuine allrounder at least at domestic level. He should play more A tours. India needs a seamer all rounder in overseas conditions as we cant play 2 spinners in Aus/Eng/SA.

Picking teams for Indian team based on number crunching is stuff for accountants. One needs to look at the player and see if has abilty to impact at higher level. But yes play A games and see more

I for one rate Rishi Dhawan very highly. Worth a shot for sure. The only other seaming allrounders of note in Indian domestic cricket are (A) Pathan (B) Nayar clearly Rishi is the best seam allrounder in Indian cricket.

I wanted India to try him out after keeping him on the bench for nearly 2 months during the champions trophy. You make it sound as if i wanted vinay for prime minister. lol

exactly people who want flintoff or kallis like all rounder are dreaming in odis even irfan pathan was very usefuf specially when u consider hei s better than some of regular bowlers we play and rishi dhawan is any day better than vinay kumar and atleast has some brain and in odis away from home having decent 4th seamer who can hold a bat can be very useful specially with new rules of 4 fielders and 2 new balls which has practically killed off part timers for us away form home

IMO Rishi is a better bowler than Irfan but Irfan is the better batsman.

exactly ..you specifically mentioned my name in ranji thread and discussion there was about rishi dhawan and again you said exact same words that you used in ranji thread that you used about me. do not say stuff like this when you are not 100 percent sure..just because some one has different views from you does not mean they have some shady hidden motives to do so. also show me one post hyping him up ? all every one said here is he is all rounder so will get chance in odis nothing more and nothing less no one said he is going to be our kallis or flintoff!
