msb1991 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Finds has slowed down in last 3 years' date=' he bowled mostly between 127 to 131 k 95 % time, also bowling short with that pace, our Zonal team bowlers r worse then county c sides or most Ranji teams, selectors r stupid as far as picking up bowlers .[/quote'] Selectors do seem a bit incompetent but I'm not sure there is that many pace bowlers going unnoticed. It is more a case of talented bowlers like Mohanty and Dinda going undeveloped. I think a county could certainly train Mohanty to add at the very least 5kph to his bowling and same for Dinda. I remember when RP Singh came to England to play county cricket, they worked on strengthening his landing leg and this give him a bit more pace during 2007, which he used to support Zaheer in Tests against England and spearhead India in the World T20. RP Singh was often over 140kph in the World T20 and also in the 2007 ODI series against Australia. People are very keen to look at 'talent' as meaning 'pace' but the ability to swing the ball both ways is a talent too. Mohanty is a very talented bowler, you do not dominate domestic cricket without talent. I think England would have made a very good bowler out of him.

Exactly the bowlers are not improving, fitness pace, technique and stagnating, but Mohanty is beyond slow he bowls at 115 k, ECB AND Autralia has been good in identifying good bowlers early and developing them into international class pacers, Aniket Choudhury, Suyal, Anwar Ahmed, and atleat 10 bowlers I can name are better and have some hope of being int class, why waste time and have this very mediocre attacks ruin the game
FischerTal Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Baba Appu..... :hatsoff: next test prospect for India
rkt.india Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 How did Mandeep play rkt? 40 not out right now returning from injury. Mohit Sharma is in north zone :hmmm: Can be considered for RISS if he shows talent. Paliwal looked better than him. He does not look calm at the crease at all. He reacts to deliveries like bowlers are throwing hand granades at him. He makes Mohanty look like a Steyn and Dinda a Brett Lee.
DarthSimian Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 South India has a pretty strong batting lineup where everyone is in form. Mukund, Baba Aparajith, L Rahul, Manish Pandey, Akshath Reddy. Bowling doesn't seem weak too with Ojha in there.
jusarrived Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Wonder why rishi dhawan is batting in top6 ..looks a poor batsmen
rkt.india Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 Wonder why rishi dhawan is batting in top6 ..looks a poor batsmen Where did you see him bat? He averaged 50 plus last season with the bat.
Lord Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Where did you see him bat? He averaged 50 plus last season with the bat. Duleep Trophy match coming live on ESPN
jusarrived Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Where did you see him bat? He averaged 50 plus last season with the bat. Isnt that him who just got out ? No idea how he averaged 50 , but looked clueless against both the spinners
rkt.india Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 Isnt that him who just got out ? No idea how he averaged 50 , but looked clueless against both the spinners Ok. I did not see him.
msb1991 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I want to see Mohit, Kaul and Dhawan bowl. Just declare!
rkt.india Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 They should declare. Central and East zone have the weakest batting line up.
India-KXIP fan Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Huge patta gonna be difficult for Harbhajan here to stake a claim for test spot. Ashwin gonna be nothing like Bhaji in the 2011 tour, hope he produces some magic on this patta to make a case.
msb1991 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Okay, let's take a look at some of our reserve pace bowlers. Good opening over by Mohit.
express bowling Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Mohit Sharma is looking promising. Hitting the deck hard moving th the ball both ways. Decent line and length too.
express bowling Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 So, Aaron is not match fit yet ! Rahul Shukla should have been tried here.
