Cricketics Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I am looking forward to it. I think this is the most exciting time in long time for Indian cricket fans as it as sad at the same time. Very exctied. After our last great has retired now, we don't have any senior player in our first choice eleven or a batsman who has scored runs all over the world. So this makes an interesting situaiton. I hope Indian fans are ready to deal with some weird on an off results because it's a new team which will take time to adjust but I think it should come in control once they have played good decent cricket together. It will take time, but I think our new generation is going to come in good. Can't wait already for our first overseas series which won't have any of the greats Tendulkar, Kumble, Laxman, Dravid, Ganguly etc. It will be another Challenge for Dhoni and who he does. Dhoni's captaincy will be tested like that of Ponting when Damie Martyn, Langer, Warne, all quit together and Haydos.
King Tendulkar Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Time for new legends to be made Like legends who have recently retired that will deliver in tests, home and away, any time , any place. Team in trouble they will step up and save the day Kohli , Pujara, etc etc. Will someone become legend? I feel some real stars will be born in next 3 years
jusarrived Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Super excited . Cant wait fpr some ovetseas tours to see how some of the youngsters peeform.

Hopefully they would have been inspired enough. Imagine 2019 tour to Australia, Eng, or South Africa with these players having already scored about 6000 runs each. It will be a great challenge.

King Tendulkar Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Also it takes time for stars to develop. Dravid used to be por against aussies till 2001, then after that series never looked. Kohli has more experince overseas so excpect him to do better in next few away tours Pujara lacks this, so may struglle in upcoming year away but will be better for it and will eventually come good Maybe if Jadeja keeps on this upward curve.... There is Yadav as well, plus ashwin I also expect Rohit to make big impact in test, as now will surely get a run Dhoni is no hoper overseas

Weird on and off results are welcome compared to 0-8 (off, off, off, off, off, off, off, off) So, yes - new team is welcome. And forgetting away series for a moment - the home Test series recently against Aus - who were the main matchwinners? So, yep new team welcome.
