Are we selecting too many under 135 k pacers ?

Out of the pacers who are on the fringe of selection or actually playing, only Umesh is 140+ and Shami, Ishant and Dhawal are 135+ consistently. Even Ishant is failing in that now. VK, BK, PK, Irfan, Unadkat, Pandey, Mohit are all medium fast or medium pace. While there are a couple of good pacers in that list, question is .. are we selecting too many medium pacers ? This is happening for the first time in ten years. After 2000 , we were including in our team quite a lot of 135 k + pacers like Srinath,Agarkar, Zaheer, Nehra, VRV, Munaf( at debut ), Sreesanth, Ishant, RP And only a few medium pacers in that time - Irfan, PK, Balaji Are we going back to the late 70s and 80s - an era of super trundlers like Madan, Chetan, Ghavri, Prabhakar, Sandhu,Binny, who could do well only in England and the like. Generally we see that a combination of really quick bowlers, really skilled pacers and tall bouncy pacers above 135 k who are good , form really potent attacks. If a team is lucky to have really skilled actually quick bowlers then it is even better. The selectors should think about the potency and composition of the attack as a whole and not pick individual pacers randomly based on domestic performance mainly

Umesh, Aaron, Suyal, Shukla, Dhawal, - tallish Shami, Pankaj, - tall Nehra (old), -tallish Zaheer(old), - tallish Gony, - tall Awana, Dinda, Kaul, Ishant, - tall Abu Nechim, Tyagi used to be, I don't know his current status. He was tall too. p.s -- 6'2" or more classified as tall for a pacer. 6'0" and 6' 1" classified as tallish.

If you see, the combination of Md. Irfan who is fast and bouncy and Junaid who is really skilled and fast medium has worked for you. The combination is good. That is what I want to emphasize.

I simply cant believ we cant find bowlers who bowl 135 to 140 consistently. This is shocking 134-140 is not even a fast bowler. Yet we cant find bowlers who can do this!!! Scary. We had in the past!!! There must be some now, selctors are just insane

Dhawal,Gony,Awana,Kaul,Abu Nechim,Nehra..all of them are medium fast

I have seen Mohit do so in the IPL sometimes. In a recent zonal match, he was bowling with a lot of effort and zip. But he does not always bowl with effort or above 135 k .
