Silva Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Didn't he kind of hint that he would step down after the 2015 world cup? Not the biggest fan of dhoni but I have bigger doubts about Kohli. not playing the Kashmiri all rounder in the dead rubber vs zimbabwe and then playing binny as a specialist bowlers and not even bowling him.
saneindian Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Bowler of the tournament so far. Fantastic bowling today. Before the tournament I was among those who did not rate him as a T20 bowler, how well he has done to prove it totally wrong. Happy to chew my words. The most incredible stat - 5 matches so far and Ashwin has not conceded even 100 runs , its 10 wickets for 95 runs :hatsoff:
Pagalpanti Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Will it matter? we hardly play IT20's lol We played like 4 or 5 in last 2 years...
coffee_rules Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Dhoni rarely changes the winning combination. Same team, No changes as he would say after the toss to everyone's frustration.
maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Sammy has been the best captain in terms of giving his best bowler a go without holding him back,in the Pak vs WI game he kept bowling Narine even when the RR was kind of gettable to go for the kill rather than holding him back and by the time the other bowlers came on,the game was out of reach. This is where today both captains today F'd up....lucky for us we made it comfortably in the end
maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Will it matter? we hardly play IT20's lol We played like 4 or 5 in last 2 years... Yes it will....it will get the ball rolling and will show the world that Dhoni is not your typical power hungry leech :winky:
vvvslaxman Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Let us not cruciify him for one match. For christsake he won 2 matches with his bowling. Back him. Just use him as an attacking option. Mishra is not a bowler who depends on batsmen going after him to earn a wicket. If anything that is his crisis area. He is more dangerous when batsmen are trying to build a partnership.
vvvslaxman Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 May be second part will happen. Not the first part.
saneindian Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 yeah from his high standards in the WC Mishra did have an off day. But I feel MSD needs to attack more and go for wickets. holding back Mishra and Ash is not the way forward. Ashwin said the plan was for him and Mishra to bowl most of their overs from over no 10 to 20 in anticipation of ABD batting then..dont think it will be the same strategy in the final

coffee_rules Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Target to achieve by 19 overs in a 20 over match. Dhoni spoilt his calculations.
Vilander Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 #VVSAshwarne :hatsoff: ++ lol took me some time to understand...am getting old.
maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Mishra panics when batsmen are forced to attack him. No he doesn't......He bowled at the death in IPL and the last couple of games when batsmen were on the attack...He had an off day and weird fell back to his old no-ball ways. In all a bad performance by him...no choking here
coffee_rules Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Actually Fafda and Duminy batting on till 14th over tamed him. he had very little time to launch.

In all a bad performance by him...no choking here No man.. skillful or beastly batsmen can launch him. One six is enough to trigger panic. He was not used properly. Ashwin before 10, Mishra after 10.. this is kind of a set formula for Dhoni. But at times you have to revisit your strategy.
maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 He will choke anyways Once a choker always a choker :hatsoff:
CSK Fan Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 ++ lol took me some time to understand...am getting old. and cranky
Cricketics Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Agree Satish, that was brilliant spell. Mishra's been getting all the applause, but it was actaully Ashwin who bowled the best not only for us, but in the whole match. Best bowler of the game today. Had other bowlers kept South Africa to around 140-150, Ashwin might have won the man of the match of Virat. Brilliant spell today.
CrazyCric Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 He will have to step down ( or get kicked out hopefully) when anti corruption thing kicks after this WC :hysterical:
