Temujin Khaghan Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 someone told me that we should eat our meat based on "what it ate during its lifetime" so dogs, cats... basically carnivores shouldnt be food for humans... but then the broiler chicken we eat is fertilized on chemicals, these chickens become so fat that they cant even walk ... they live in overcrowded cages where they can barely stretch their leg... so much for animal cruelty the less said about how goats and cows are brought on lorries to cities, the better ... other birds eat insects and earthworms... not exactly healthy huh...
SLICKR392 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Why i started this thread? 1) i saw some horrible video on youtube where chinese people are peeling off dog's skin (its still alive). lot of people are commenting on chinese cruelty chinese people are retorting that if westerners can butcher calves for beef why cant they eat dog meat 2)also i saw a documentary video called "the cove" where americans are exposing the dolphin meat market in japan... japanese are saying that dophins are only bigger fish 3) someone told peta organizers that the women who act in peta ads eat beef at home, but are on a anti-fur campaigns - so they are hypocrites... this seemed right in many angles 4) but at the same time everyone cant go veggie because every country is not india where agriculture "potential"is abundant - so they need to eat whatever living creature they find iam searching for an answer basically... the fact that dogs/cats/dolphins are intelligent and so shouldn't be eaten is wrong on many levels --- i looking for fresh ideas... on this topic either for or against... but some new line of thought... VVS has a valid point about various customs and cats, dogs etc are moreover considered as 'primary' pets. It has been viewed as pets for a long, long time.

Cookie cutter shark's teeth is so hard and powerful, they can even tear inside a nuclear submarine's outer shield. They tear into dolphin's and large bonefish's bodies and eat them from inside female praying mantis eats the male after mating. viper's venom is atually an extreme digestive fluid that helps to digest it's prey while alive. That's why viper bites needs amputations. I can just go on and on. Nature isn't just hearts, lollipops and rainbows. It's cruel than u can ever imagine.

It's just a preference. What I don't like is when people start saying one form of food is more sacred than the other. What we as a civilization have been eating has a lot to do with what kind of food was available to us. When it comes to meat - herbivores and carnivores. There is a belief that carnivore meat is not supposed to be healthy. I am not too sure if that is scientifically true. We seem to eat birds despite them being omnivores. As long as we are organic beings needing organic stuff to sustain ourselves I think anything organic is fair game for survival. When you are not faced with the question of survival then it is each to his own.

They have as much or as little rights as the goats,hens and pigs.
