StriKe Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Press Trust of India @PTI_News 1m BCCI terminates the contract of IPL team Pune Warriors. Saurav01 :hehe:
G_B_ Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 was expected Roy and Srini just did not get along....
G_B_ Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 and speaking of these new franchises $300 and $360 million. You cant make a profit of that. India as a country is still not at that stage. They should have gone for $80 million. I hope they keep 8 teams for the next 2 seasons. come up with realistic valuations for franchises.
Zanjeer Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Well, yuvi can play for a better team. That's one way of looking at it.
Number Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Well' date=' yuvi can play for a better team. That's one way of looking at it.[/quote'] For a change some other team will get the wooden spoon. That's another way of looking at it.

vvvslaxman Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 :hysterical:hysterical: Is it due to mediocrity?
rkt.india Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 :hysterical:hysterical: Is it due to mediocrity? No, Bank guarantee was not given. I think there is a question even on existence of Sahara and court had asked them to return money to investors.
jalebi_bhai Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 So.....maybe Modi was right in not wanting to issue tenders to these lot?? Either way, 8 is the apt number of franchises........filters out the trash.......
jalebi_bhai Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 AB DADA Uncle kaha se khelenge? Forget Dada, who the bloody hell will pick Dinda??
Crookbond Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 So.....maybe Modi was right in not wanting to issue tenders to these lot?? Either way, 8 is the apt number of franchises........filters out the trash....... BCCI may issue a tender for another 2 teams now!
Jersey #10 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 and speaking of these new franchises $300 and $360 million. You cant make a profit of that. India as a country is still not at that stage. They should have gone for $80 million. I hope they keep 8 teams for the next 2 seasons. come up with realistic valuations for franchises. Learning from these two dubious deals and majority of the initial franchisees not harvesting the expected income, I'll be surprised if anyone will want to buy a franchise for more than 40-50 million.
Jersey #10 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 BCCI may issue a tender for another 2 teams now! That's very likely. If I remember right, BCCI wanted to add two more teams on top of Kochi and Pune in the future to make it a 12 team league. They'll be very interested in having two more teams if not four. A team from Gujarat is on the cards Gujju Gangsters :hatsoff::--D
Ibes Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Did anyone actually think that they would be able to compete for the semis next year ? Even if they added a few big names in the auction they couldn't have done so unless the quota for foreign players increased. To kick out 3 teams, 4 if you count RR, is a massive PR hit.
