A rare breed for any team who are on top and a fair reflection of a minnow team, you wont find a trundler in the great teams of the past and you will always find them a plenty among weaker and minnow teams, I rarely remember a trundler having a low strike rate or one who can run thru a side or one who is not dependent on conditions or one who can bowl any length. I love cricket and we all know the excitement and joy in watching a fast bowler coming in to bowl, also being an Indian fan I have seen some pathetic trundlers play for India undeservingly while better bowlers were not tried out, Iqbal Siddique was one of the worst I have seen, Unadkat, Vk, Mithun, Sandhu, Prasad, Yohanan, . A good team can not afford to have trundler, maybe if he is a terrific batter as well, a very very accurate trundler may be in Odi for want of option n certain conditions, also with the advent of t20 and the way batters are approaching their game, guys like Latham, Astle have not much future in even ODI, so why do selectors keep picking a bowler who is handicapped by pace, for a minnow country it is a want of option for India it is selectors ignorance, a trundler is akin to a batter who cannot hit the ball beyond the 30 yard circle and would a batter with those attributes ever be selected, maybe if he was Has an Reza or Vijay Bhardwaj. A selectors job is to identify talent and pick up players who have the ingredients to succeed, a player cannot be selected on stats alone otherwise why do we need selectors a computer can do the job, because of the huge gulf in domestic and it cricket numbers don't tell the entire story, as selectors cannot afford to waste too many chances on mediocre players, especially bowlers. Most domestic cricketers don't have it in them to be world class and some could be prolific at that level example Bradmanath, same was a VK , Mithun, Unadkat cannot ever be a decent bowler at international level so what makes the selectors pick them up.

Where does Praveen get his bad rap in Tests from? He was so much better than Ishant and Sreesanth in England.

preveen was the best in England People forget when Zaheer fat ass Khan pulled out in the middle of the test. Praveen acted as work horse and strike bowler. Got no support from Ishant "leader of the pack" Sharma and Harbhajan "made it large" Singh.

watching mohit sharma bowl against mumbai he is struggling to hit 80mph
Mohit is def m/ f not even f/m and is ok option for odi but not to be looked at for test.

given 100s of post abt an express bowler like mohit not being in Indian team etc i assumed he was atleast ~85. Again comment is on his pace he actually is bowling alright.

He usually bowls around 132-133. Seems a bit stiff today, so low in pace. His quickest is around 137K, 85 mph, not quick, only medium fast. No one ever said he was express pace. He always comes as a seam bowler who has really good control.
