Thats why I want Chepu and Kohli to bat at 4 and 5 so that they can face older ball.atleast Philander will be easier to handle.if they come in against new ball, they can score big runs. With new ball even Pujara might not last long. maybe have GG back at 3.or even Rahane at 3.
Nah let them face music just do not expect miracles :p Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

they can learn gradually, dont have to sacrifice our only chance to win because of their learning. That's suicidal.getting out early I dont think they'll learn much anyway Sachin and Rahul also started down the order IIRC :hmmm: also Pujara has gone to A tour too to learn

Only chance to win ? What is this bs We are playing them when they are no 1 abd when we have tragic away record even if some one puts a fight and learns something it will be enough for me ... Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

so you already think we have no chance of win?great Lets give them best chance to put up a fight then.SA conditions are hard anyway so they'll learn enough either way. theres no harm in batting them one spot below. As I said Rahul and Sachin also started lower and they didnt too badly in their careers.

No we have chance as it's sports so anything can happen but this us no way our best chance ..this is probably our worst chance And pujara needs to play at 3 cos if he fails then everyone will fail ..so it's pointless anyway Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

thats why he needs to come in against older ball as it'll be easier to negotiate :dontknow:

Shikar is probably going to be the most important player for India in SA. He is going to set the tone v the new ball. I think he should play his natural game.

No then he will be out for 10 for 3 so more pressure and no other guy can handle new ball pujara is best bet Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

One thing is for sure, its out there now that he isn't comfortable early on when he's targeted at his pads. If he gets through the early phase he can provide a good base for India but M Vijay from other end just inspire the confidence.

no our openers arent that bad, even if they dont score, they can see off the new ball along with no.3 Pujara is most important for us.if we lose him to new ball, which can happen,we are screwed big time.if he comes later he can rescue us even from tricky position and get big score

Philander might trouble him more than Steyn or Morkel.
to Philander I see him standing outside his crease and charging down further, risky but something he can do. Morkel would be tough one for him

Guys lets not mistake the ODI Dhawan for test Dhawan. I'm sure he'll be more watchful with his shot selection. He has a good technique to block the in swinger. His only problem is moving around too much when the ball seams away from the right hander and going for too many shots. However, in tests I expect him to be more restrained

Does da-one have the technique to do well in SA? Simple answer is NO. But as many cricketing experts have said in the past, technique is way overrated and I agree. Just based on his form in international cricket over the past year I would back him to give us a solid start more often than not even while playing in SA. In a lot of the cases, technique is whatever works well for a batter and at international level as greats like Dravid and Sachin have repeatedly said; it is more about mental strength than technique and so I like Da-one as our leading batter to kick things off :two_thumbs_up:
