The Outsider Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I apologize for that. However, i will stick to my original request - please please please do not edit my posts. If you guys find it offensive, let me know, i will edit it. If i am not around, feel free to delete the post. I am rather sensetive to having my posts altered- not only does it often leads to the wrong conclusions if sections of the post have been delted/editoralized, i don't always check back to see which posts were edited, which wern't and I remain unaware of how the moderator edition has changed what i wanted to convey ( or rather, what stuff i wanted to convey but didn't get conveyed). This makes a very adverse effect on future postings, as we all often draw reference to posts we've made here in the past. I don't think there is any need for any apologies here. I would not like my posts edited on a MB when I don't have the right to edit others' either. The only reason I did it was to avoid reactions which involved passing value judgements on religion, which unfortunately we cannot let pass till we are able to introduce blogs again. Let's agree on this- next time we find some offensive comment has been made about some religion we'll leave a remark to edit the post within 10 minutes(a longer period means terrible headaches for us) and if it's not edited we'll delete it. You of course, can later on edit the post and put it here without the objectionable content.

Desi Cartman Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Here we GO AGAIN. JOR SE BOLO JAI MATA DI tics mate, u fasting ?
jusarrived Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 find fasting a bit of a hogwash , both the ramzan and Navaratri one ...cos if you are fasting , dont eat atall . else i dont know who you fooling here . I have colleagues who do this every week on a particular day , think Tuesdays...& the whole day you see them munching on Upwas biscuits , upwas chaknas & what not . same with Muslims , you hog before 5am in the morning & again after 12 hrs ..its not exactly called fasting . the gods must be really crazy to ask us do this .
DomainK Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 We always find out a convenient way of practicing our religion, don't we?

I agree with you on many points but lets not debate the fasting in this thread. Thanks
DomainK Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I think one should understand, agree and practice the basic minimum (at least) recommendations of one's religion, or one should not practice it at all. The half hearted attempts make no sense.
