I was a staunch defender of his for a while. Probably up until the Australia series. But time and time again he has proved me wrong. I am so happy to see Shami perform so well on debut. In addition to that, Zaheer is coming back to full fitness. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the South African squad. His cricketing brain is very good and he could be a very good mentor to our new bowlers.

This is actually best thing that happened to ishant sharma.I hope he goes back and works on his game after being dropped for sa tour .He is still most talented fast bowler in india just needs to work on his game and go back to his old action.Watching the 2008 series against aus where he bowled the best that an indian fast bowler has bowled in the series in india would be a nice start.

Have to select players on merit and performance now not based on some that happened in the misty past. He has played so many games since then and shown ZERO improvement, in fact he has actually got worse hence all rightly assume he has no brains. It is more than just simple basics, he has no level of inteliigence as a bowler, unable to think a batsman out as just bowls wildly all over the place. Only so much chances you can give a retard, time to rightly move on.
