gaurav92 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 He has come of age. Great skills in the lad, can bat well in any situation :hatsoff: Need a few good domestic seasons before he is picked for the Indian team. Looks very matured :nice:

We need to replace Raina and Sharma ASAP before world Cup. I say take a risk and bring in the side.
Lord Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Today he was dropped 4 times atleast.plays too many aerial shots imo. Still I think hes too raw for senior team.needs a few A tours and a good FC season
Brainfade Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Random comment My random comment for the day: We see our top bats struggle abroad against good bowlers, and boom, we are anointing U-19 stars, who flog U-19 PNG, as their successors already. Many a slip, guys, many a slip ....
gaurav92 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Playing under 19 is one thing, getting used to playing the four day game is another. You may play as well as you can in these u19 tournaments, but the litmus Test will always be how well you perform in the domestic circuit. Of course, performing in IPL will only make it easy for players, but primarily the performance should come at domestic level for reasonable assurance of the players temperament. I have no doubts that Sanju will come out trumps even in domestic season, but it should be the criteria for him to get into the team. It would be better to take a matured player with domestic experience in the side rather than risking an u/19 player in the side.

alexander Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Saw some of the U-19 games. This man Samson is blurple.
JourneyMan Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 On samson, I have not seen much of him but as a keeper he is not good enough at the moment. At RR somebody like Yagnik was miles ahead of him as a keeper. He is still 19 and if i was him i would start concentrating on my keeping. India will always have good calibre batsman. As thing stand Dhoni will be around for another 4-5 year min. So he has time Agreed. We don't seem to have too many options at the moment, WK will definitely be up for grabs. Dhoni won't stick around forever.
kaptaan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Are there any HLs for today's innings? starsports.com
cricraja Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Out of interest' date=' how do you judge ability if not by weight of runs. It is not a perfect method but what is yours?[/quote']On who he hates or does not.
moniker Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Saw some of the U-19 games. This man Samson is blurple. :WTF:
CSK Fan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I've seen him bat once' date=' in IPL or champions league i cant remember. His go to shots were guides to third man or flicking aerially on the legs. No shots down the ground or on the off side. Look excruciatingly limited as a batsman. Hopefully will get better.[/quote'] Just from last match
saneindian Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Sanju is good but will need some A tours and more FC experience before being ready for international cricket. Surprisingly hasn't kept wickets and is now playing as a specialist batsman. May limit his his chances at the higher level. Also, safe to say Unmukt Chand at the U-19 level was miles ahead of any of the batsmen in the current U-19 squad.
veer Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Looks like another Rohit sharma in making from that commentary log.., Some of you ppl need to learn from past mistakes.. Or else stop whining if India doesn't perform well
