saneindian Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 u gotta be realistic what you wish for. Thats true but now that he's been picked why would you want him to fail? Any wickets that he picks will be for India, hai na?
rkt.india Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 And why would you not wish him to take a 10-fer or do better than he has so far? Need to be realistic. It is only for his betterment. So that he can go back to basics and work them up.
King Tendulkar Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I would love dhoni to slam a ton and shut me up. Would love it Please dhoni deliver:pray:

If he picks that is good but if he does not then what. This is what I am thinking about. Don't expect much from him when he does not even a half decent seam position.

Detonator Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Dhoni is the reason for Rahane's demise. He shldn't ve got out. Drop Dhoni. :protest:
ganeshran Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Dhobi doesnt have the technique to bat out long innings outside the subcontinent. Poor defense and footwork. That he scores as much as he does is in itself credit to his street smart temparement
HouMac Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Dhoni should NEVER be in surviving mode, because he just doesn't have the technique to survive long. Might as well go out playing your game. I was cringing when he was blocking every ball this morning. Knew it was only a matter of time before he fell. This morning's collapse falls on his shoulders.

King Tendulkar Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Much better captaincy from dhobi sorry dhoni today. Clearly Fletcher has told him how to skipper overseas. Kept slips in all day. As much as he could wanted seamers to bowl and rotated them well. No stupid throwing ball to spinner early or over bowling spinner. Only used spinner when had to cos seamers needed rest. No stupid use of part timers. No nuts field placings and over clever stuff Clear game plans for once and not over use of his over hyped gut instinct Well dhobi 9/10 today

Laaloo Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 7/10 for me....-2 more for his atrocious batting :banghead: 6/10 for me with his field placements
King Tendulkar Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 9/10 for captaincy 4/10 for actual personal cricket perfomance
maniac Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 9/10 for captaincy 4/10 for actual personal cricket perfomance So averages to 6.5.....Rounded of to 7....we both are correct :two_thumbs_up: On a serious note tommorow is going to be his biggest test because these are exactly the kind of situations his captaincy has let us down in the past when the opposition Lower-middle order showed resistance.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Dhoni with pacers was great, brilliant. People say he's better with spinners but why have different fields overseas? Set attacking fields and restrict easy singles. Tell ashwin to really spin the ball, bowl a little fuller. When fielders crowd around, batsmen choke. He needs to do these things i think.
