Elections cost money. Why should the tax payer foot the bill for AAPs arrogance ? Clearly, if the Congress is willing to support AAP then it is incumbent on it to form the govt. On the other hand, it is the duty of the BJP to also try all possibilities, i.e. if AAP/Congress indicates it will allow a minority govt to run. If nothing happens, the next elections will probably be held during the Lok Sabha polls, it will be a disaster for AAP - many AAP supporters are rooting for Modi at the Centre.
Because they didn't give majority to AAP. Isn't it very simple? If you are so averse to re-election, why don't you ask BJP to give outside support to Congress to form govt. I am sure Congress will jump on that and re-election will be avoided. Where this notion that many AAP supporter are Modi supporters are coming from?

^ Lol, If media didn't pimped AAP from beginning they should have been in single digits.
Unfortunately they didn't get crores of unaccounted money to pay media moguls to get the poll predictions in their favor. :giggle:

On Sunday, Delhi witnessed over 25 rallies and scores of road shows on the penultimate day of campaign for the December 4 Assembly polls with top leaders of major parties aggressively attempting to reach out to voters by making an array of promises and spelling out their vision for the city. BJP's high-voltage campaign was led by party veteran L K Advani and its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi who lambasted Sheila Dikshit dispensation on various issues while appealing to people to use the opportunity to vote out the "corrupt" government which has been in power for 15 years. "The Congress is completely submerged in corruption. The Sheila Dikshit government has totally failed to address any of the major problems in Delhi. You must oust it," Modi said addressing well-attended rally at Dakshinpuri in South Delhi. Prominent BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah, Najma Heptullah, Vinod Khanna, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Navjot Singh Siddhu criss crossed Delhi holding scores of rallies in support of party candidates.

Even I heard it on NDTV. Dr. Roy mentioned that in response to the survey question, people responded that for assembly they want Kejriwal but for loksabha, they will support Modi. Until we see the results of LS in next 6 months, we cannot say anything definitively as yet.

The AAP can do this just once, people's patience will run out pretty fast if they cannot adapt to everyday politics. It doesn't mean they need to sell their soul but sooner rather than later they will have to put their foot in the door.

The only alternative seems to be BJP + independents forming a minority government on good faith that Congress + AAP won't bring a no confidence motion. Either that or get 3 MLAs from congress to jump ship. The anti defection law has a loophole where if one-third of the legislators defect, it can be considered a merger

Thats what I said, all possibilities must be explored. AAP says that it will neither give or take support from either the BJP or Congress to form a govt. That is not a mature stand. The BJP at least has said that if there is support from outside it will try to form the govt.

Next time it will be hard for them to deny it otherwise they will lose the momentum. Let us see how people respond to them in the other part of the country in coming elections.

There should be some limit to arrogance.

Agreed, and a minority statw govt cant provide a stable govt and can hurt delhi's development. Either Aap shld support bjp from inside or outside or Re-election. I favour a re-election with Loksabha polls.

There is no arrogance. BJP governments have been enough corrupt. BJP getting elected in three states doesn't mean electorate has given them clean chit on corruption. It's just that voters found them better to be Congress. AAP is justified in their stand. They asked vote in the name of creating a new political atmosphere and tying up with BJP or Congress goes against that basic stand. It would amount to betrayal to own voters.

Don't know about Raman Singh. But there have been enough allegations on Shivraj and his wife of corruption. Not many people in MP thinks he is corruption free. Search dumper scam and you'll find some links.
