Thats a maasive revenge series for me! I think we will pound NZ! NZ wont know what hit them. Just as like dhoni does not start doing silly selctions again like bringing in yuvrajs, rainas, vinnays, unadkunts etc Must stick with proper cricketers who can play overseas as well as at home

I like what I saw from Shami, and I hope Yadav comes good too. Batsmen alone can't win you tests. We've got a solid batting unit and decent fielders, bowling still needs to be strengthened.

I am willing to give the bowling attack a pass since they did well in the first innings. They are relatively inexperienced and hopefully will learn. SA is not a club team, rather no. 1 in the world. You do not expect them to roll over. My only gripe is that India need to have a bit more killer instinct and improve their stamina. When overpowered, they need to resist more than wilting.

Even with Kumble in the squad, we could not polish off the tail at a Job'burg test in 97 despite having them at 95/7 at one stage. Bad weather and poor umpiring though played a bigger part in denying us a win then.

The pitch obviously eased up for the 2nd innings with both teams raking up 400+ scores. Stop blaming the bowlers and give the batsmen some due for playing some sensible cricket.

On Day 1 with those cracks around and a slightly drier surface, general consensus was this pitch will break up on day 4 and 5. Pitch reports on each day kept emphasizing that. Commie also said the fear of the cracks being opened up stopped the teams from using the heavy roller in the first 3 days. Only after SA were confident that the pitch will not break up, did they start using the heavy roller.

I liked what I saw of Shami Ahmed. I feel Dhoni should have bowled him a bit more. He beat the bat a lot and was missing getting an edge.

Each commie on day one said they have never seen so many cracks on a Wanderer's pitch. The talk on Day 2 and 3 early morning was on this being an under prepared pitch which will become dangerous for batsmen due to variable bounce and multiple cracks on the good length spots.
