I wonder why the OP did not highlight the names of Jaganathan, Manikandan or I6MTW chose to ignore them. What a tragedy! I feel we need a swift justice system for all gruesome crimes like murder and rape.

Did you also state a similar fact for the delhi rape case ? Just wondering
It(religion) probably does not matter. But since you have mentioned that case - the minor who most brutally assaulted the girl leading to her death is from the minority community.

If you dont like getting trolled the way to go about it would be to not troll others :nice:
No no I like it. Exposes the aukaat of jaahils who bring names of two month olds to settle forum scores.

Typical ICF , should have easily ignored comment and concentrate on main issue...but secular always wins :two_thumbs_up: time to close the thread.

This is getting out of hand. Governement needs to crack down hard with serious punishments. They need to send out a strong message here.
Swift justice should be first step. Level of punishment isn't big issue, I guess. Slow judicial process certainly demoralises people.

^ Too big country and lack of will.... Level of punishment should be severe otherwise message won't reach masses. take this example

It has been a year since Nirbhaya shook the country's conscience with her courage in the face of the brutal gang-rape on the night of December 16. However, the government is yet to shake off its lethargy and has not spent a rupee from the much-touted Rs 1,000-crore Nirbhaya fund

Level of punishment are already severe. Are culprits allowed to go off with light punishments except in case of juvenile.

Incidentally, the main accused, Nasser, is said to be a close aide of Mr. Nazeem. Most of the arrested in the gang rape case are DMK cadre, police sources said. Nasser was earlier convicted for gang rape committed in 1994 and sentenced to three years imprisonment. The sentence was later commuted to 18 months and a fine of Rs. 5,000 in 1999, according to the case details from the SSP’s office.

Only in India can this happen. A women raped and then raped again by a diff group of people. Why isn't this in the media? They should cover this.

Really depressing to see the 'taareekh pe taareekh' system for crimes like this. At the most it will delay trivial cases by a couple of years which already take a decade to come to a conclusion.
