Aren't there a hundred and one reasons why he should not be in the team ? He has a strike rate of 46 in tests and can bowl 140 to 150 k but obviously, how can he play for India ? Wasn't he disappointing in one of the Ranji games ? Meanwhile, the giant, with a SR of 69 in tests, plays on.......

Earlier he was taking wickets at more than 3 wickets per match rate, now he has been reduced to 1.5-2 wickets per match. At this rate he will need 70-80 tests more to take 300 wickets. Hopefully by the end of his caareer we will see him with 130-140 match, 300 wicket at average of 50+. Would be epic plays a 3 match series for his 300th wicket and takes a lucky wicket on last ball to create history.

any bowler who can make ponting look like a debutant should be given a long run to establish himself. I'd say give him 40-50 tests more and then if he doesn't perform still sit him down for a game or two.
