G_B_ Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 @loser pakistan poet. difference is that this garden of India will be growing at close to 10%. The zia garden crashed on burned on the basis of a stupid war in 1965. I mean seriously i would take her point if Modi basically just was about religion. He is at the place he is today on the basis of growth in his home state of Gujarat for close to a decade. Ie the people who he has governed for have returned him back to power in the state. Considering Pakistan is a vendor at the IMF maybe this poet needs to learn about economics. There is a good reason the Indian equities are doing well among emerging markets. The reason is simple they expect Modi to come to power. If he was only about religion then clearly they would be in decline
panther Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 non-sunnis are impure muslims ?? :giggle: The only impure people are those who reject the truth, there is no pure person in this world unless Allah forgives him so please don't make stupid post like that.
panther Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 must be AHmaddiyas....rejected by pure Muslims as non Muslims Qadiyanis are not muslim, the only ones who consider them muslims are non muslims, that should tell you enough about them.
veer Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Pakistani Poet Fahmida Riaz recites a poem comparing the rise of religious polarization in Pakistan (started during Zia's era) to the current Hindutva rise in India Rough english translation Two things separate us from pakis.. 1. Majority of us put country before religion 2. Importance we give to Education Even if I believe that Modi is devisive on communal bases, the educated bunch, who knows what is right from wrong, will either kick him out or will not elect BJP in next election.. Lekin dil ko bahelane ke liye koyi bhi aira gaira pakistani poet par yakeen kar lena..

ganeshran Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 Two things separate us from pakis.. 1. Majority of us put country before religion 2. Importance we give to Education Pakistan was actually doing better than us during the Ayub Khan time in 60s and early 70s in terms of growth and infrastructure creation, before the rot of religious fundamentalism set in their society. Once started , it just spiraled in an endless positive feedback loop that still hasn't yet settled. The problem with the education argument is that we assume that the educated will continue to hold sway in a religiously polarized society and will themselves not be brainwashed into celebrating and defending ignorance. So if we would be unaffected in a country where the majority is polarized, either Indians have to be intrinsically better than Pakistanis at handling polarization, or our institutions have to be strong enough to resist any sort of attack on their ability to continue in a democratic fashion. Even if I believe that Modi is devisive on communal bases, the educated bunch, who knows what is right from wrong, will either kick him out or will not elect BJP in next election.. Lekin dil ko bahelane ke liye koyi bhi aira gaira pakistani poet par yakeen kar lena.. I guess we will find out pretty soon, tab tak us poet ko hi aira-gaira keh ke dil behla lo.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 What is all this pure Muslims business? Ahmediyyas, Bohris, Khojas, Memons are just as Muslim as the 'mainstream' Muslims. People (read Zakir Naik) who judge others on their Muslimness quotient are generally from a regressive lunatic fringe. Don't pay much heed to what they have to say. well I did not create the divide. it exists.

Hindutva was the only reason why Parsis, Muslims, Christians, Jews came to India and lived happily. Hindutva was the only reason why Sikhism and Buddhism grew in India. Today suddenly because of Congress and Pakistani poet and Pakistani thinking propoganda Hindutva is a curse to country eh....

Even if Hitler was our PM, he could not have done any genocide against the Jews. such is the power of a constitutional led parliamentary democracy. Its ridiculous to think in that direction.

Maybe they converted because the Islamic government of pakistan was imposing jizya on them? So how did the population spiral downwards, explain Professor sab?
diga Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Anyone knows what was the percentage of Hindus (as a percentage of population) in 1947 & in 2014 ?
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Anyone knows what was the percentage of Hindus (as a percentage of population) in 1947 & in 2014 ? For Pakistan from Wikipedia In 1951, Hindus constituted 22% of the Pakistani population (this includes East Pakistan, modern day Bangladesh);[4][5] today, the share of Hindus is down to 1.7% in Pakistan,[6] and 9.2% in Bangladesh.[7] (In 1951, Bangladesh alone had a 22% Hindu population.[8]) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism_in_Pakistan For India, wikipedia says 80% as of census 2001.

Current hindutva rise ? Bhai ghar ke bahaar kabhi kabhi nikla karo. Too much paranoia and delusion at work here. Or just planned fear mongering by Internet warrior. Common man has too many problems to worry about than your coffee table communalism vs secularism fights. He has seen an inept govt at the centre and is looking for alternative. Only alternative in place is BJP. I think fear mongers such as this are more of a threat to secular fabric of India than so called hindutva which can't even unite Hindus.

Which itself hasn't played any Hindutva card in the last 15 years knowing it has only worked against them. Comparing that to bigots who even during wars used the religion to unite the country with declarations like "Hindus won't stand a chance against us" is nothing but a scaremongering exercise by the poet.

bulbul Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Good program by Rajdeep Sardesai in Bangalore South! http://ibnlive.in.com/videos/465356/rajdeep-sardesai--ground-zero-campaign-trail-in-bangalore-south.html Nileakni is much better candidate who is giving realistic assurances as compared to Anath Kumar of BJP, people have taken to the hype of Modi :headshake: But Nilekani is in worst party :--D Frankly speaking Bangalore south will sustain itself without a MP , except for roads things are not as bad as people make it out.
bulbul Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 More like scaremongering exercise by the poster. It's fashion to attack hinduism in the veil of secularism, gives good publicity everywhere.
bulbul Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 These are Hindu friendly Muslim clerics who are nationalists and shout India first. Can you show a source where they shouted India first?
