Since he went to London, Lalit Modi has been doing the exact opposite - he has been cultivating rivalries with politicians from across party lines, be it Sharad Pawar or Rajiv Shukla or Arun Jaitley. I can see no way for him to come back to India in the foreseeable future. Becoming the RCA Prez while sitting in London is one thing but becoming the BCCI Prez while not in India is a whole different ball game altogether. He cant do it until he makes peace with various political factions and finds some way to come back to India without fear of being caught by the Enforcement Directorate.

There will always be a compromise.

What does the bugger know about India or Indian cricket. He is equally corrupt as Srinu ( remember Flintoff-CSK saga). If he becomes BCCI President we will have 3 IPL's every year and test cricket may be banned in India.

Jaitley is actually pulling back to concentrate on 2014.
