vvvslaxman Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Come on. He was a failure as captain. you have to agree because he didn't keep Greg in check. Administration involves politics and power twisting. He is not capable. He failed as captain of managing people and he will fail horribly if he was administrator. You will probably never see a cricketer as admin unless he is too smart on dealing with politics and power twisting. Srinivasan was great in managing people? If being autocratic is managinc people i would rather prefer a timid guy. Come on we are comparing some lame ass non cricketing guy with Dravid. I would prerfer Draivd anyday.
G_B_ Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I prefer Kumble to Dravid. I agree with admin that Dravid is not somebody who will be strong enough. While Srinivasan has gone a bit too far. Dravid will cave in on most things.

Lot of politicians will push for inclusion of players that they know that they are related to. You should not give in.
Laaloo Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Why wasn't Dravid talking about this when he was getting bowled left right and centre for the last 5 years? Maybe he was afraid of players performing in Ranji and eventually taking his place. Khudkarz saala
Texy Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 OK may be Shami needed the rest but what about others? How old are these feckers? Esp Raina and Bhuvi would have benefited the most. Jeez.

Chappel was made coach when Ganguly was captain. If Dravid failed because he could not manage chappel then Ganguly was also a fail. Coach as a designation is above captain. For me Dravid was our best tactical captain.
