This was just a lucky day for him, and some body who plays 50 tests is bound to have the lucky days. But what all this means is that we may never get an Ishant who averages in the low 30s, the generally accepted standard for an Indian pacer. And he will cost a lot more matches for Indiathan he wins for India.

That is where things look bad

I never fault an opener occasionally falling to a new ball it happens bowlers get paid too but when they are in, they should not be like Akash chopra whose maximum ceiling was 50 runs.

YEa. Dhawan is not a noob. He played for under -19 before Pujara, Rohit, Kohli IIRC. or the same year.
