They hyped him to hilt in IPL like he is god given gift .[/quote'] That's true but I am surprised people buy this hype so much What people need to realise is that at this level every one is super talented and that is reason they got into team Rohit has very good clean hitting talent but that does not means he is most gifted batsman in the world ..I will take Clarke who is ok hitter of ball over him anyday..is he less talented ? Was husseyt less gifted batsman ? Less gifted striker of ball yep..batsman no..I hope commentators start making a distinction

Owing to FTBs and spinners who are good at home, India are a fine team in Asian conditions. Outside of those, they have always tended to struggle.

This Kiwi side probably is the best Kiwi ODI side I have seen. Just for context, they toured right before the 2011 world cup and we blanked them 5-0 in a 5 game series. This, despite resting a lot of our ODI stars of the 2011. This team, however, has an entirely different feel to it. There is a very menacining sense of confidence about them. Everyone (except maybe Martin Guptill) seems to know exactly what their role in the team is. But beyond that, a lot of teams are now finally catching up with India in terms of their approach to the ODI game. At some point during the Kirsten era, we made a conscious choice to lean towards power hitters in the ODI game. If you look at Australia, there's a difference of night and day between their ODI team of 2 years ago to now. Their line-up is now replete with power players (Finch, Watson, Bailey, Maxwell, Faulkner etc). NZ is going the same route too. McCullum has always been good in the shorter format. In his day, Taylor can singlehandedly tear apart an attach. Ronchi is above average and this new boy Corey Anderson be reaaaaaaaallly good! This is an extrelemy good kiwi team. I think most of us just slept on them.

& no point in dropping him anyway. They will bring him back anyway in couple of ODI or for Test. Since Ishant is our net practice bowler...they have to reward him with a place in the XI.
