gakgupta Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Couldn't agree more. We have missed this boat. He should have replaced Rayudu in the squad. Just stunning. On a non-serious note, any way England can pick him up? After all, half their team is not English. Question added in edit: In trying to make sense of all this, I ask: Is his fielding an issue? Does he have "an attitude?" Is it zonal bias? Does Rayudu have nude pictures of the selectors that he threatens to release to the public? It can't be a performance/potential related issue with Jadhav, so what is it? Rayudu was more consistent couple of years back oin domestic circuit than jadhav right now .... so i dont think has anything to blackmail the selectors ..... Rayudu is a great cricketer with poor work ethics ..... i
undisputed chap Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 The real question is do the selectors think that rayudu can win us matches in a wc ? I am also frustrated with raina being picked again. I just hope his weakness against short pitched bowling ( which every team knows) doesn't cost us a wc. They should atleast have had jadhav in the squad. I mean what do we do when even one of them fails TINA .

I am sure kedar yadhav is good enough to win matches on his own. He has already proved it on many occassions. Am happy for samsons selection. But it would have been a more sensible decision to pick kedhar yadav in place of samson as yadav is a backup keeper as well. samsom has age in his side. but kedhar yadav if not selected now could be a lost talent for india.
rahulrulezz Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 When will this guy get his due.. A strike rate of 105+ with almost 50 batting average is unheard off... Dumb BCCI.. This may be the worst travesty of them all. He has the numbers, the consistency, is in good form and we need some new blood in our middle-order. From what I hear, he is a solid fielder too. I can't find a single reason to exclude him.

Not sure what the problem is. Also was MOS in recent A tour of Australia. Don't know what else he needs to prove. If age was the factor, then we would have never seen a Michael Hussey. 30 is when most batsmen would be at their peak, so this is THE time to pick him atleast in ODIs for starts.
Texan Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Picking Murali Vijay for ODIs again despite his horrendous record in ODIs  and Jadhav keeps getting ignored.

And the sad part is not many people know his name and stats.... juz cuz he doesn't play for Mumbai or Chennai It boils my blood when I see commentators going o la la over players like Rohit, Karthik or Rahane about how talented they are but susshhh about upcoming talented players like Jadhav
MCcricket Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Jadhav needs to be in the ODI side on merit and has the talent to win games on his own
King Tendulkar Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Look we should have 6(yes Vijay is still honorary member) csk players in team today. Things going well!!
kosingh Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 It's possible Vijay was called to replace Rohit because the player had to be flow in immediately. Vijay probably had the active visa. Might have taken a new guy a 3-4 days to get the visa.

These threads are all based on stats and none has actually seen this player. Finally once this x player makes his debut all the backers immediately realize this player isnt international level. Never seen Jadav bat so no idea how good or bad he is but you will continue seeing such threads. My fav were for badrinath until badri made his debut posters on this forum had projected him as the next sachin who because of some regional bias never made it to Indian team; and then we saw what he did at the highest level. vvvslaxman Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Jadhav was a bit hit in India A tour. Consistently a good finisher both in A tours and IPL. Good six hitter. HIs strike rate was around 119 with 8 sixes. Also his domestic stats are good. Good pressure player. Since Yuvi has left we don't have decent six hitters down the order apart from Dhoni, Raina. Would have been handy ahead of Rayudu, Vijay etc. rahulrulezz 1
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Too much politics has killed my interest in cricket. I'm switching to football.

I still remember how Dinda were the BEST bowlers and B Kumar was so poor than Shami that he shouldn't be in the playing XI altogether.
yoda Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 He is already 29. If he was so great why hasn't be broken through into the ODI side so far?
vvvslaxman Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 He is already 29. If he was so great why hasn't be broken through into the ODI side so far? Rayudu is 28 :hmmm: And distinctly looks average. With Yuvraj, Dhoni, Kohli, Sachin, Viru, Gauti the line up was impenetrable. Besides he can't break through without chances.
vvvslaxman Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I Pee L promoted hacks like Rayudu, S Tiwary .. that is where Kedhar failed
