kubrickian Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Why are some people here saying we got an easier group when 4 out of 7 teams qualify for quarter finals anyway ? Do Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Scotland sound tougher teams than Ireland, Zimbabwe and UAE ?

I hope they take care of this.

alexander Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Playing in Oz/NZ is wholly different to playing in India. None of the results between the main 8 sides are foregone. India have tremendous mental strength in modern times, which is their #1 asset in knock out comps.

If you ask me we got the tougher group (Bangladesh is no walk over these days in ODI). Ireland and Zim is no walk in the park either. Both can hold their ground. If there is only quarter final then my guess is that Group A AUS and NZ/SRI Group B SA and rest will battle it out (seeing how we got rapped in so many level by ranked 8, i don't consider ourselves as a favorite to qualify anymore).
