Number Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 1 good day out of 4 doesn't make me say well done. 10 losses in the 11 matches overseas. Feck this crap team.
maniac Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 These weren't the same NZ pitches earlier teams used to face. This Test was played on a decent pitch and we should've done better. We gotta improve our bowling attack coz we can't hope to win much if we keep on conceding 400-500+ scores consistently away from home. We keep going back to blaming our bowling time and time again but in Eng,Aus,Eng at home and this one,our batting is what has let us down. Infact in Eng and Aus and in this game our bowlers had set us up atleast a couple of games. Bowling is always our weakness but thats the way things work,hide the weakness and focus on strengths but unfortunately our strength has been letting us down. We managed to draw the game in S.A not due to the bowling,it was our young batting that stepped up.

Please understand this is a young team give them some time they need these kind of games these kind of experience will come in handy.First innings was a telling factor.

It should be a cracker of a contest.

That's just hypothetical. India could have scored 450 with less pressure of chasing (they scored 366 in 2nd innings) and set 150 as target and put pressure on NZ. NZ got bowled for 105 in 2nd innings, so they may have lost. You can't say they would have won easily if they just enforced follow on.
