kubrickian Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Chasing 400 was never going to be easy. Only been done 4 times in the entire history of cricket. That's 4 times in 2118 tests since 1878. Good to see they fought back well in this test when everyone thought it would be a big defeat and came so close to winning. This young team will learn from this and will get better.

We lost to a no. 7 (or is it 8?) ranked Test team :haha: Come on U_G they do well at home they drew against Poms they lost 0-1 to Proteas.You have to give this young team some time with time look how VVS,Dravid,Ganguly got better and did well same thing is going to happen with them.This is the first time guys like Che,Rahane,Dhawan are touring Newzealand will be a good experience for them.

We do suck at the moment and we have huge holes to fill. No short term fixes I'm afraid.

This Test was played on a decent pitch and we should've done better. We gotta improve our bowling attack coz we can't hope to win much if we keep on conceding 400-500+ scores consistently away from home.
