One of the reason why our talented batsmen don't lose their ways like our bowlers do. If they had retired right when these guys had debuted, they would have also lost their way in international cricket. Batting with Sachin/Dravid on the other end, being in the same dressing room and in net practises is an experience no coaching can teach you

The celebration after FIRST test century and after missing the previous one on 96 - the celebration was a smile and a quiet satisfaction. No chest thumping, no mouthing gaalis, no fist pumping, no jumping up and down like a frog. Brilliant! Very Dravid/Tendulkar like in celebration. He conducts himself brilliantly, not a gaalis type person. Ofcourse - in cricketing talent and achievements - he has oceans to go before being compared to those two legends.

Yuvraj & Raina are shorter format players just as Rahane and Rohit's games are built for the longer one. It's one thing our selectors have gotten wrong consistently, i.e. getting players into a format based on their performances in another. Since IPL came along things have actually worsened as it seems performing in IPL is the quickest way into the Indian team

More balanced as Dravid had a much bigger stride forward while playing swing. His straight drives are all close to that of Tendulkar, not as good enough as his, but close. Best part was his quiet celebration after scoring the ton and that commanding hook shot for six. Went in IPL mode after the ton with a brain dead Zaheer on the other end, you have no choice.

He has failed in SA and NZ, England should be the final stop. Keep him for t20s he is a great player there. We have better players than rohit like DK for tests, and manoj tiwary/jadhav/rayudu for odis. This moron and dhoni have stopped others being tried. I dont see talent in rohit, i see non-performance Can't blame selectors for giving rahane games, thats where he debuted in england right? And did fairly well there. But yeah he should stick to tests and even t20s.
