zaheer Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 was he taking a pause in his bowling run, that irks me more than anything.

SLICKR392 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 No Start like warne and action like narine He has developed a leg break too Weird :hysterical:
adi B Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 All said and done 10-1-50-1 sounds quite good! this is our pathetic state of bowling that now people are calling 10-1-50-1 against a team like bangladesh as quite good
CG Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Ashiwn is over complicating things. He should be sent to work with his coach or some good spinner. He has to bowl like himself no copy actions it will never work.Your natural action which u have bowled for years will always be your best.
rkt.india Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I remember commies in NZ test series talking about him working on his bowling action with the coach in the nets.
rkt.india Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Ashwin is a natural batsman and a made up bowler.
tweaker Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I don't know why he is experimenting with his action.First he was pausing in his delivery stride, and now this.I think he has lost his confidence in his bowling.
adi B Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 that 'ziddi hai toofan hai' ad has destroyed torres
BlueBee Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 One thing is good in this action. He doesn't wait to eat 5 vada paws
saneindian Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Takes some courage to change your action midway in the career and bowl that straight in an international match! Bowled decently though, was turning the ball a lot more than he's done recently. Bigger tests await with that new action.
fineleg Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 He shud get more 50s and 80s and compete for lower middle batting spot. Not a bowler anymore
thongale Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Better action now. Earlier one was god awdul ugly.
yoda Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 His bowling is looking more ordinary than ever before. In the 5 or 6 overs I saw, may be one or two deliveries ended up hurrying the batsman. Most of the deliveries were easily pushed away.
Pagalpanti Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 He was more attacking today, gave it a good flight and also got more bounce. Ashwin is a natural batsman and a made up bowler. I don't believe a bowler who can take fastest 100 wickets by an Indian in test to be made up bowler. He is just lost, needs a guide. Shame with the resources BCCI has they still can't get it right with support staff.
putrevus Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 there is a reason why he was not under anyone's radar while coming thru grade and FC until he became IPL hit while opening the bowling. In tests he was aided by weak teams and grossly overcooked pitches.Once he had to show his stuff as spinner against good teams and unyielding pitches has been found out severely.
Zestian Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Who knows he was in his career mids or was it his end which he is trying to save..... Even though I think the new style is better but not sufficient..... India has great potential Bowlers, its just that our selectors needs to buckle up for that..... :sherlock::weights:
cowboysfan Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 His career is nearing the end, that under 19 kid is a better bowler and actually turned the ball and used his brain.
StriKe Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 He has been useless to us for thr past four series. Time to invest on new spinners :agree:
