SLICKR392 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 horrible action.....chucks as well...pathetic. Feck de Ashwin!
GautiMaan Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I thought he was getting more turn than he got in months.
Cricket_Hacker Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I thought he was getting more turn than he got in months. obviously if he chucks,he will get lot more turn
SLICKR392 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Let him chuck. Everyone does it nowadays. Why shouldn't we?
GautiMaan Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 obviously if he chucks' date='he will get lot more turn[/quote'] Why are we so touchy abt chucking? pak and sl spinners are a lot more obvious but no one seems to care.
Cricket_Hacker Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Why are we so touchy abt chucking? pak and sl spinners are a lot more obvious but no one seems to care. used to their chucking
thongale Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Why are we so touchy abt chucking? pak and sl spinners are a lot more obvious but no one seems to care.Sour grapes it seems:finger:
thongale Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Ashwin is too fat and horribly unfit. Even his former action was based on explosive shoulder rotation. Ashwin being a massive unit generated enough pace on the ball. What he needs is an action where there is a proper follow through. Murali had that, Ajmal, Herath and Harbhajan have that. As a result they can bowl more without being tired. First Ashwin needs to shed about 10kg of weight and become more fit. BCCI can hire Murali easily to coach spinners. Murali himself was a fitness geek.
GautiMaan Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Sour grapes it seems:finger: What sour grapes, they dont do much damage against us anyway:cantstop:
zep1706 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I haven't seen it, but Ashwin in general lacks patience. He tries too many things and ends up getting carted.
vvvslaxman Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I haven't seen it' date=' but Ashwin in general lacks patience. He tries too many things and ends up getting carted.[/quote'] If there is anything he has to work on is the conventional off spin. If he can learn and vary the pace of an off spin at will, his variations will be doubly effective. Sometimes i wonder whether off spin is his main ball or carrom ball.
vvvslaxman Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 horrible action.....chucks as well...pathetic. IIRC lot of icfers want a chucker in the INdian side. Let us see how far he goes with this.
Ram Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Ashwin's new bowling style - Right arm confused. :phehehe:
Sean Bradley Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Having an identity crisis, this Ashwin :headshake:
vvvslaxman Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Having an identity crisis' date=' this Ashwin :headshake:[/quote'] Desperation i think. After just one test he got dropped. Then wicketless for several matches in the one dayers. He is trying to find a style that gets him wickets. I appreciate his desperation and willingness to find ways to get wickets.. But it rarely works out well. Since he is very tall ball takes longer time to get to batsman. So he has to up his speed. So he is trying a lower trajectory i believe.
gaurav92 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I don't want an Indian bowler chucking :headshake: Changing the action now suggests that he has been struggling to get his rhythm going with his earlier action. Such a shame he had to resort to chucking to get "turn"
asterix Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 He's a T20 specialist bowler and should stick to playing T20s...
Crookbond Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Does it bend lesser than 15 degrees? If so, it is not chucking. Our definitions of chucking are not relevant here.
