I am saying X is netiquette. You are saying you have done A, B and C. There is no question that you have highlighted the link, posted the link etc. But that was not the feedback/suggestion. The suggestion was to quote the text which is a common bulletin board etiquette.

Let's put it this way, Ganguly has a very good chance of making a second Indian XI, and certainly the third. Dhoni.....let's see Engineer, Kirmani, Mongia, More...maybe he has a shot at the 5th Indian all time XI.

TBF......his ego is what made him successful as well as what brought about his downfall.......he was far from perfect........but the role he and John Wright played in ushering the team from the match fixing scandal can never be understated.......he was the captain we needed at the time......it is why I hold him in high regard..... While he was not the most athletic fielder himself........the team's fielding standards started improving under his captaincy........not everyone in the side was a spring chicken though........:cantstop:

I dont think Ganguly would carry towels and water bottles for the players if he was in the squad and wasn't played in the eleven.

Ordinary ? His stats in odi cricket is top notch. His test record is easily above average, considering that he averaged 44 overseas. Ganguly was easily a better test bat than dhoni, its not even close. In odis, i'd take dhoni but the comparison is hard. True Test average of 42 during 90s was considered good.Ganguly slumped from 2003 but he was good in aus,eng and even sa to a extent and won us the 3rd test against pak to clinch the series.I rate him as a batsman for those knocks.

Yes he is ordinary. And not only that, he is a quota pick. He is rightly put in place by Greg Chappell, the only thing of note he did in his entire coaching stint with India.
