Dhawan has replaced GG.We need to replace Viru now.Rohit is best chance given the squad.

He needs to be told to hit out at the top and no tuk-tuk shyte by Dunc and Dhoni.

shortbread Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 As much as I hate nohit, he was in his element against Pakistan, fluent, aggressive......just when I though maybe he grew balls overnight, he threw it away after scoring his 50!! Had he stood there knowing fully well that we lost Dhawan and Kohli, he would have won some brownie points. Dhoni, Kohli wont change anything, nohit will open. I just pray for India's sake he at least fires on Bangladesh's patta tracks.

Open with Rahane and Dhawan. Should be fine.

G_B_ Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 People also forget that Rahane for RR has been given the duty especially last season of being the anchor. The royals last season played around Rahane. As i said before, two Rahane's wont work. One Rahane and one Dhawan well. The season before he was tasked with attacking and he has a strike rate of 130 for that IPL season to show for it. We also need to keep in mind that Rajasthan Royals played their games on some really seaming decks last season. Rahane for example scored 34 not out of 42 balls chasing 125 v the Kings 11 Punjab. Ie it was a seaming deck and he played as per the situation taking his team across the line. Rohit Sharma has played on some flat Wankhede decks. I mean even DK is averaging higher there at Mumbai than what he was at the Kotla.
