All of them had turn and Zim batsmen are immature against spin. No one is saying others were great but people thinking he is doing great so now we can play him in every match need to consider that it is just because of conditions. If he was so great, he would not have been thrashed by Aus. We will have to see him in England and Aus to see if eh can play WC in Aus. There bigger grounds will help him if not the pitches.
of course, we cant put him in the wc15 squad based on some games in bangladesh but give him an opportunity for sure!

I remember that's how L Sivaramakirshan was played in the 1985 World Series. The huge grounds were to be seen his advantage and it worked out pretty well.

This. On these slow turning pitches even like of Raina were difficult to score off. Batsmen try to slog spinners and lose wickets which can make the bowler look good. Mishra is an ordinary bowler. There's a reason he averages in 40s in test cricket when batsmen play on merit.
Jeez.....i was so excited assuming that it's second coming for mishra and will create wonders in Ozziee.....i am so disappointed..... Nevertheless, i am really enjoying his bowling now..

Leg spinners are great to watch on song, they tend to get wickets, but they can become very expensive without provocation. Off spinners are often boring to watch, but they can tie up ends easily.

I would still prefer a wrist spinner if only one is playing.

This is the shame of Indian cricket. Some people are not in favor like Mishra. Similar case was Hari Gidwani, Dinesh Karthic and some more. I think Piyush Chawla is pretty good too. Unfortunately they toil in domestic and never get a chance.

Yes, Ashwin and Jadeja make a pair with less variety, good for containing runs but not effective for taking wickets. There aren't a lot of quality leggies at the moment and batsmen have less experience playing them - they could be used as good surprise weapons if utiized cleverly. Urfurl them in important tournaments and don't expose them in meaningless bilaterals.

Today his clock speed was ranging from 71 kph to 108 kph. He is becoming more and more dangerous on these wickets with such variations in addition to natural legspin variations.

What's working is that he's getting selected' date=' despite not being a Lungi Cements employee.[/quote'] LOL....he got fairly a decent run ...... but his consistent no-balls along with clueless bowling made his downfall......but now, he bounced back brilliantly.......may be little late......he could have won us few games in NZ and SA

I am all for taking out and out wicket taking bowlers Leg/ wrist spinners who can turn the ball on any surface , with good variations and zip off the pitch Out and out fast bowlers Tall pacers who can get steep bounce Pacers who get late swing in most conditions or get seam movement consistently Mystery finger spinners
