What is actually working for mishra ji?

I am not a bowling expert but i have read in this forum that he lack few things like deliveries zipping off the pitch. And for doing that he needs to use his body a lot more. Nothing seems to have changed much with his action but he is mighty effective from last few matches......infact i really like his aggressive attitude -- always looking for wickets.....fllghting the deliveries.... As a layman i understand that he completely cut-down on his no-balls and his line is length is much better than earlier..... But i still understand that zip of the pitch is really important for a leg-spinner to be successful ....... has he changed something ??

Landing the ball correctly? THat is all you need to be a good successful leggie. With offies and left arm orthodox even if they land correctly they can still be played with ease.

his drift was epic today. Mishra was always bowling well. Even in the warm ups india dropped lie 5-6 catches of his bolwing

im a fan of mishra and he came back strongly last ipl. he has done the job so far so let him enjoy the little success from the small opps he has got instead of talking about overseas. We had a chance overseas and you can blame dhoni, ishant, zak, management whoever you want. Anyway, it shows that wickets > all. he's not too expensive either and its more egg on dhoni's face Dhoni kept out many players for his favourites: Manoj tiwary - scored a 100 and 65 last few innings, great fielder, took 4 wickets in SL series Shami - stormed on the scene, india's number 1 bowler, was benched for a short while but vk, ishant, unadkunt preferred Rahane - benched for too long in tests, and then odis and t20s. Got real chance in 2013 and 2014 and has scored runs, outperformed rohit and yuvraj. Mishra - we have seen what he can do now, outbowled ashwin in recent games Who knows who else?! Yadav is another. He is a test match beast and hes benched for dhoni's pups

Yes, the way he fooled Shehzad with a slow looping turner just after bowling a quicker straightish ball was good to see. I remember him similarly setting up West Indian batsmen during the 2011 series where he did very well.

In the whole of the England series....batsmen had so much time....so much so that batsmen played him on the back foot for a good length deliveries......Is this the pitch or Mishhy himself??.....but i don't see much change in this action thought

Its the pitches which are working for him. Same Mishra was clobbered by Australia.

This. On these slow turning pitches even like of Raina were difficult to score off. Batsmen try to slog spinners and lose wickets which can make the bowler look good. Mishra is an ordinary bowler. There's a reason he averages in 40s in test cricket when batsmen play on merit.

not all zim pitches had turn, he generates by himself to an extent and people are really judging him on one match against aus? yes he bowled badly but our other bowlers were saints right? jeez the guy bowled well, lets persist with him and hope he improves his core

No one is saying others were great but people thinking he is doing great so now we can play him in every match need to consider that it is just because of conditions. If he was so great, he would not have been thrashed by Aus. We will have to see him in England and Aus to see if eh can play WC in Aus. There bigger grounds will help him if not the pitches.
