Pagalpanti
Ojha and Mishra rely a lot on deception, in tests I really don't see how they can run through sides unless they get attacked. Ashwin relies a lot on pitches. Jadeja is one bowler who can really turn it on spin conducive pitches and keep it tight with odd-peach ball on away tracks. Best option we have imo. Link to comment
asif10
Who would be your spinner for tests? ashwin...no doubt Link to comment
Marut
Ojha Ashwin not good enough to get wickets on pitches away from home. Ojha the lone spinner away from home at home Ashwin, Jaddu, Ojha trio. No Mishra in tests :orderorder: :this: Just not consistent enough with line/length anyway even if he doesn't lose patience. Mishra is nothing special and doubt he can get a good test match batsman out who isn't slogging. What has Ojha done outside home so far? Even in Sri Lanka he averages 64. His away average after 4 tests is 53 inspite of not playing outside SC yet. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Bump Forget all this fielding/batting smoke screen. In tests you need your best spinner, the man who will take the wickets. Is it really Jadeja? Link to comment
Cricket_Hacker
Ashwin/Ojha..ohja deserves atleast a test...read somewhere that he was successful in county cricket Link to comment
Marco Polo
Its a sad reality that we don't have a quality spinner. Every spinner tries to dart in rather than try to spin it in this t20 era. Link to comment
undisputed chap
All these are crap overseas. If we selecting any one of these it will be like we are recycling crap over & over again. It's like pakis recycling Mr. Mirza, karma akmal, farhat, etc. Link to comment
renjith
i have no hope on any of the current spinners. high-time we look at some rookies from ranji trophy. Akshar Patel, VV Dabholkar, Shreyas Gopal, Kuldeep Yadav Link to comment
BlueBee
Mishra, Wrist spinners come handy and can take wickets anywhere unlike finger spinners. Our newest spin stable has some good talents too : Akshar, Chahal, Gopal, Kuldeep. Link to comment

JourneyMan
I think we need to see more of Ojha. Jadeja gets results, at the end of the day, so I'm happy for him to be in the team as a bowler alone (regardless of how he bats). Heck, we could put him at #11. Ojha needs some opportunities though. Lord
We have to be patient. Most spinners can't adapt straightaway overseas and take time to prosper.Even Kumble did. I'd like Ashwin to be tried and given a long run.atleast he'll contribute with the bat.Though Jaddu seems slightly better with ball Link to comment

Midfielder
It should be Bhaji followed by Misra. Since both are not here Ashwin should play. Two part time bowlers do not make one full time bowler. Jadeja + Binny <<<< Ashwin. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Neither of them are that good. But i would like to see how Ashwin does with Duke balls. I get it he struggled with Kookaburra. Also he has added leg spin to his armory. Would like to see how he goes. But i keep my expectation level to a bare minimum as he is far too slow for a spinner. it takes eternally to reach the batsman. If pitch doesn't offer much he looks like Roiht sharma, Dhawan , Vijay type of bowler. Link to comment
