Zanjeer Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 What about dhawan? Should he sit out in the remaining matches? Discuss.
Sooda Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think Rahane should continue, he looked composed enough before throwing it away vs Aus. Dhawan is looking bit short of confidence and looking to almost mindlessly hit his way into form when batting. Perhaps should be given a rest from LOI cricket, let Rahane and Rohit open
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Steny will gobble him. Id go with Dhawan. he may get out but will try and attack
Dil Dil India Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Rahane should be in for his fielding alone! I'm not a fan of the guy, I always felt he'd suck at test level (though he proved me wrong in the SA series) and while I don't rate him as batsman in ODIs or T20; I think I'd have him over Dhawan. He's likely to score as many as Dhawan but he'll field much better than him. If you think about it Dhawan hasn't really done much in T20(nor has he played much, mind). I would have said Rahane for Yuvraj but the latter roared back into form in the last game.
jusarrived Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I would bring Dhawan back . We need some one to go after Steyn early on & of the three Rohit , Rahane and Dhawan , Dhawan is the best equiped ....if Steyn offers some width though . I like Rahane , but this is a KO match so wudnt take risk with him
Gollum Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Rahane looked good the other day. Dhawan has looked miserable in all his matches. Wont risk him against the rampant RSA quicks.
rkt.india Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 T20 is the worst format if you are struggling because it does not give you time and can make you look out of depth when you struggle to hit boundaries. He never was a great T20 batsman anyway.
CoverDrive Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 right now rahane > dhawan in terms of current form
King Tendulkar Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Yes defo Dhawan looks a mess at the moment and seems like cant even get bat on ball. While rahane looks in decent touch. Long term different issue maybe and dhawan may come back. But short term no brainer, dhawan is awful at moment
ThePhenomenal1 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 people want dhawan to start slapping 4s everywhere when they forget that he's out of touch right now and just blocking or mi*****ing and the ball gets stuck in the ground. rather have rahane who can still get u boundaries once set. and rahane had a sr above 100 so its not like he was wasting balls like rohit and dhawan have done early on
tatters Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 He should but instead of Rohit Sharma not dhawan. Rohit Sharma is a selfish, talentless muppet. To think some people were suggesting he was better than Kohli....
NareshK Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Rahane is not a LOI batsman. He looks like a fish out of water when he plays limited overs. Just dont understand why they are so adamant in making an ODI/T20 batsman out of him.
Sandeep99 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Noooo! He's a strokeless wonder.. Dhawan can at least fluke his way to some good performances
SLICKR392 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Noooo! He's a strokeless wonder.. Dhawan can at least fluke his way to some good performances Strokeless wonder? Kuch bhi!? Would want Dhawan to open, Rahane's a good T20 player, but will like to have a left hand opening against Steyn.
