Bhuvan has to be our 3rd seamer..... Would go in with Bhuvi,Ishant/Shami and Yadav with Ashwin being the allrounder........Has better technique than Jadeja for sure. Can't beleive people want to drop Ishant.....check who is the highest wicket taker in Newzealand and check his last 4 test performance....give the guy a break. Yes he has had mediocre time in ODI's but has improved his test bowling

So you conviniently forgot the 3 innings he bowled before that? Yes he was bad in that innings but so was everyone else.......A guy just hit a 300 so why only one person to blame...everyone sucked in that innings including a guy who picked up a fifer. He was the best bowler in Newzaland....Yes SHami was good in patches too but the love he gets here overshadows everything else,while as Ishant's one bad performance on that tour nullifies all his efforts before that? Not fair.

Ishant is consistently bad whereas shami is good and bad few times. if you see SA stats , Australia Tour stats you will know.

I have been critical of Ishant when he deserved it but when he was our best bowler he deserves acclaim....dropping him when he did well in the last series is stupid.....place in the XI debatable but has to be as a backup

And the conditions in NZ would have suited him but was never given a chance. And BK bowls much quicker than PK nowadays. He is yet to bowl a delivery in overseas Test matches. We have absolutely nothing to judge him on in these pitches.

So did Shami,Jaddu and Zak....atleast he gave us a shot in both 1st and 2nd test.....cricket is a team game last time I checked. As I said....getting dropped after being the best bowler on either sides sets a bad precedent.....Indian cricket is very disciplined

Shami deserves a long run. He's played only 6 games so far and he doesn't have an average of a decent middle order Test batsman like Ishant does. Zaheer should hang his boots, everyone agrees with that but having a trundler like Ishant in the side is only going to hurt us more in the future. Its a team game and we have to look forward as well. A good trio of Shami, Yadav, Bhuvi/Pandey/Pankaj will only benefit us in the future rather than having a temp bowling like Ishant. He reveled his consistency in both series; SA & NZ. After picking 6 wickets he goes on to get whacked for a 150 runs without any wicket.

Bhuvi and Shami got us wicket early on as well. Our problem in NZ was during the middle overs and he bowled really well in the death overs there.

Its not about pace,P.k used to swing the ball out of the hand ,he was a classical swing bowler with great control over both swings.B.k basically bowls too short and main weapon is the inswinger which seams also.

He has played every odi after sa and he has been ordinary.His average is up to 38.He bowls to contain runs now.
