When we won t20 cup back in 2007, we celebrated big too. They have the bragging rights for now. Just leave it at that.

We did the same thing when we won the T20 back in 2007 and the Aussies were reacting the same way as you are :) Symonds and Ponting infact mentioned that our celebrations were OTT. They have won a ICC cup after a long time, so i think their celebrations are justified given that they entered so many finals and ended up on the losing side.

6 months after being knocked out of the ODI WC in the 1st round, we celebrated like crazy for that 2007 WC when before the tournament no one gave a damn about T20s in India. Lankan fans have every reason to celebrate big

When we won the T20 cup in 2007..the whole nation went ga ga. Now its SL turn....to celebrate this moment. We played good...but an off day came at the wrong time for us. Still nothing to be ashamed off.

I remember that the celebrations here in Mumbai after we won the inaugural T 20 WC were quite spontaneous and loud. There was a get together at my school, and I was around King's Circle. On my way back, I saw this convoy of some 15-20 cars full of youngsters waving flags and circling around in the area. There is this Irani restaurant called Koolar at the Circle where the owner was handing out free marzipans/ candy to everyone. And the scenes were pretty much the same on my way back home to South Mumbai. If you were there, you'd think we have won something big. At that time I wasn't even aware of what exactly people were celebrating or of the fact that a T 20 WC was being was being played. I think this was before the IPL began. Let them celebrate. One shouldn't need a reason to.

LOL when we won it in 2007, there was open bus celebrations in Mumbai. I was in Mumbai that day and went to Wankhede. It was full. But to be honest, world T20 has lost its charm after they made it a 2 year tournament. Had India won it this time the celebrations wouldn't have been so big.
