fineleg Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 nice work though [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5sq6_LB01Y]First Hat-trick of IPL 7th Edition, by Pravin Tambe (IPL2014: RR vs KKR - 25th Match) - YouTube[/ame]
Austin 3:!6 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 how exactly? as for playing for India,he also offers batting and fielding bonus which can't be neglected as vvs said,Karn Sharma is best option if we need a leggie If 7 batsman can't score...you should not depend on 8th (considering Ashwin as an all rounder). But we must play with 5 specialist bowlers and I am afraid Jaddu is not the one. We already have plenty of good fielders like Kohli, Raina, Rohit etc. You will never find a team where all XI are good fielders. Even Steve Waugh's great Australian side didn't had that.
vvvslaxman Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Anyone but Jadeja. Rubbish bowler he is. Tambe >>>>>> Jaddu So if Jaddu can play for India why biased against Tambe? going by that Bomrah > Steyn. This is IPL
Pagalpanti Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Well if he had made his debut earlier, might have been part of this world t20. Making it to the next one seems far-fetched given his age. Although since next edition is in India, if he can do a Hogg and stay fit and maintain his guile, sure why not. But not in any other format.
Tiger80 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Satyavaadi harishchandra kahin kaa , kinse kaha thaa apni real age batane ko Afridi bhaijaan ko ek phone lagaye aur age ghatane ke tareeke poochche.:winky:
Roshanrocks Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Lets scrap Ranji, Irani, Duleep and other other useless trophies and select players based on IPL performances only :two_thumbs_up: BTW what happened to Paul Valthaty :hmmm: retired?
Straight Drive Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Many Indian players have made comeback even in ODI and T20 team because of IPL performances. Tambe deserves a chance in T20 based on this IPL performance as well considering that other leggie Mishra is out of form at international as well as IPL level.

Ashwin is poor batsman in LOIs.Jaddu is better. fielding to helps.also as a spinner too he has done quite similarly to Tambe in IPL
renjith Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 One simply can't ignore ipl performances. Unlike other first class or list A performances one advantage of ipl is it shows how a fringe player performs when he is playing against the best in the world. ranji trophy, duleep trophy or even A tours just does not provide that opportunity. So definitely we should be considering ipl performances. At the same time ipl performance should not be the lone criteria for india selection. If not senior india team, we should atleast be considering tambe for A tours. One thing is for sure, we will need a wrist sipnner in next odi world cup in aus. aswin and jadeja can;t be as effective as a wrist legspinner in aus. so mishra, chahal, karan sharma and tampe are probables.
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 He's not THAT good a bowler. Australia selected Hogg because they don't have enough quality spinners coming through the ranks. We don't really have that problem.

TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Pakistan selects Ajmal too when they hv some good spinners in domestic cricket. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that they really have no one as good as Ajmal.
G_B_ Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 He is a good t20 bowler. Was the leading wicket taker in the champions league t20 and should finish in the top 5 wicket taking spinners behind Narine and Ashwin in this editions ipl. Proving that it was no fluke. I dont get the hype over Karn Sharma anyways. If anything i have found Chahal to be a better bet as a spinner. Jadeja has terrible T20 stats with the ball. I think Tambe can certainly be an improvement on that.

That is evident from the line of attack they opt for and it is reflected so far in performance. Tambe : 7 inn-12 wickets ,eco 6.35, SR - 14 Ashwin: 8 inn - 7 wickets , eco 7.04 , SR - 23.8
rkt.india Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Yeh Duniya .. yeh duniya pittal di yeh duniya pittal di... Tambe = Pittal in Mumbaispeak. Native speakers, correct me if I'm wrong. Tamba and pittal are two different things. Tamba is copper, pittal is brass. This is pittal(brass) made of copper plus zinc. This is tamba (copper).
