Amit Shah is a genius in my book. Nothing less. What Modi team has managed to achieve in 9 months is nothing short of remarkable ! This is very focused and capable group of men. Swami Vivekananda talked about navigating nation's views. From a polarising figure, they have cajoled and guided India's views towards this one man. They were relentless. For me Rajnath Singh is a clear winner. It takes men of vision and steel to take decision and face consequences. Handling disgruntled and disruptive senior leaders to losing allies. You need two things to be a great leader. Vision and hunger.

To me Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Chouhan were the silent assassins, but Rajasthan and MP were a foregone conclusion I guess, so not much importance attached here

Assam, Maharashtra,UP and Bihar were sheer game changer. Sushil Modi will be CM of Bihar. He is good man. I hope he gets there.
UP especially good grief, i dont think anybody ever predicted that. 73 seat.

Yup. But he needs to control his language a bit.

Yup. Still pinching myself. All the remaining 7 seats won by the families. Remarkable. I would love to read a book or watch a documentary on this campaign. There was absolute clarity and focus.

Yep, the way the campaign was held deserves to be a case study. Some universities should do some proper research on it.

Thats the point. BJP was relentless. There did not seem to be any dissent in the ranks and all of them kept repeating the same mantra of development. Even the women spokespersons like Meenakshi,Smriti,Shaina and Seetharaman seemed focussed, classy and steady compared to jokers like Jha .

Did Chidambaram win or lose? I agree that AIADMK is a big loser. Winning 36/39 seats from the state and still will have no say in the governance sitting in the opposition.

Chandrababu Naidu.. Jagan was at the top , but last one month Naidu made so many right decisions and TDP thumped YSRC in assembly elections.Last moment alliance with BJP and Pavan Kalyan's support to BJP-TDP alliance certainly helped in vote swing.

Chidambaran didn't contest, made his son contest and he came 4th.

Chidambaran didn't contest' date=' made his son contest and he came 4th.[/quote'] Chidambram was the most realistic. He had seen the future before anyone.
