Kiran Bedi wants to be BJP's Delhi CM candidate

Kiran Bedi was a far more recognized person than Kejriwal was at that time when their movement started. No one knew who Kejriwal was. Kejriwal came to limelight only when they did fast for Lokpal and Anna fell ill then he took over the stage. Anna went to the background.. When Anna refused to be a part of his political party then media started focusing on Kejriwal. Same Kejriwal who accused media for selling themselves was shown by media as India's savior. Same media showed special episodes dedicated to Kejriwal, his movement, and his life. Same media made Kejriwal what he is now. If Bedi wanted, she herself could have come ahead and taken over the movement instead of Kejriwal and could have formed the party with Kejriwal.

So what is the point here? I am not saying that Kiran Bedi was not as recognized as Kejriwal at the moment when anti-corruption movement was going on. But she didn't take the decision to launch an independent party from green field. Kejriwal did. Kejriwal did have more conviction in his ideas than Bedi had. Bedi is rather preferring a safer route of requesting BJP to make her CM. What about her stand on which she opposed Kejriwal at that time and decided to stick with Anna. Both V K singh and Bedi used Anna and then aligned with BJP which Anna himself clearly was against. Kejriwal at least had guts to start a party from scratch.

So what is the point here? I am not saying that Kiran Bedi was not as recognized as Kejriwal at the moment when anti-corruption movement was going on. I became an AAP member even before Delhi election last year and I supported both the things Kejriwal did initially but then realized they are far too indecisive, lack conviction, kept talking about congress, corruption by Sheila Dikshit and instead of competing against Rahul or Sonia, Kejriwal stood against Modi in election, and then their background with NGO funding irregularities, people behind their foreign funding, and then it seemed that it is not as black and white as we see. There are a lot of grey areas.

Sir, Kejriwal did millions of things wrong. His inexperienced showed up in everything he did. In this thread we are discussing Kiran Bedi and my point is that she stays exposed of his double standards and opportunism by requesting BJP to let her be CM.

Or might be she already had an idea about what's kejriwal is going to do. Even Aana didn't join Kejriwal. She didn't join Kejriwal at that time doesn't mean she can never reconsider her decision regarding stepping into politics. Regarding being projected as cm, I doubt it. These are just rumours for now. Dr. Harshwardhan is the best person.

Agreed. That is the one point on which Delhi bjp leaders are angry + they say that she was offered ticket in both assembly elections and look Sabha elections but she didn't want to take any chances so she refused and now that a BJP victory in Delhi is almost certain, she comes out and says she is ready to be CM. I sense some opportunism here.

She certainly is a bit opportunist. Compare her with VK Singh or Satpal Singh who put their entire career at risk. It can rightly be seen as a insult to all those who have worked for years under BJP.
