Sachin=GOD Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Sulabh says will build toilets in every house in Budaun Moved by the gruesome gang-rape of two cousins in Katara village in western UP’s Budaun district, Sulabh International today announced to build a toilet in each and every house in the "infamous” village. The very fact that the two Dalit sisters were raped and hanged from a tree when the went to attend the call of nature in the open, caught the attention of Sulabh Founder Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, who said the NGO will ensure toilet for each family in this particular village at the earliest. “I heard the statement of senior police official that these girls were raped because they had gone to defecate. He even said lack of toilets make girls vulnerable to these people. Dr Pathak, said that a team of sanitation workers and engineers from his organisation will visit the village to start toilet construction work from tomorrow itself. We have ask our team to construct toilet at with highest pace. “We are just setting an example by adopting this village as the issue of toilet was the main reason behind both the deaths,” he said. The two women, in their teens, were forcibly taken away by four men while on their way to the public loo, gang-raped, strangulated and then hung by a mango tree in impoverished Katra Shahadatganj village in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. According to Indian government statistics, a rape occurs every 22 minutes but activists say the figure is conservative as many rapes go unreported in the nation of 1.2 billion where sexual crime victims are often publicly shamed. Dr Pathak urged top business houses to adopt at least one village to end the practice of open defecation at the earliest. “Any woman defecating in the open is vulnerable and the Indian government must acknowledge the issue. Resources will only pour in then,” says Sulabh Chief. Sanitation experts said India's lack of toilets forces women to go outside to relieve themselves, "making them more vulnerable to violence". http://www.thenewsminute.com/stories/Sulabh%20says%20will%20build%20toilets%20in%20every%20house%20in%20Budaun#.U4sU_vmSyCQ

Sachin=GOD Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 SP's Ramgopal Yadav to CNN-IBN: Rapes happen everywhere. You do your work and let us do ours: Mulayam Singh Yadav tells media over rape cases in UP The Central Govt should seriously think about President's rule in UP. The law and order situation is now totally out of control and the state govt is not wiling to improve it or even admit that there are any problems.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Vulgarity, obscenity, violence on TV reason for such crimes: Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav on rapes in Uttar Pradesh.
G_B_ Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 The day up voted back sp into power in 2012' date='there was a general feeling that gundaraj would return.the state is in pathetic condition under this akhilesh govn..bjp will have to bring this govn down else more such miseries will happen till 2017[/quote'] and yet they keep on getting elected this is the fourth SP government you would have thought the people had learnt their lesson. Like it or not Mayawati did a much much much better job in UP than the SP ever did. She had control over her party. My wife's family hails from Meerut. They tell me that forget rape, kidnap, ransom extortion all on the rise. There is just no law and order. One of her uncles in Meerut was robbed twice at gun point in a single day. People are afraid to leave their homes.
G_B_ Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Lets also keep in mind The same thing happened in Bihar. The yadavs with Lalu came to power and took it out on every section of society. Dalit women were raped. Upper caste women were abducted and forcefully married. Non yadav OBC's like the kurmis were not gvien any chance when it came to jobs. This is exactly what happens when a narrow caste based party comes to power. They abuse it.

beetle Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Bid to rape Aligarh judge at high-security home ALIGARH: An embattled Akhilesh Yadav government, already pushed into a corner by an unending stream of horrific rape cases, had to face one of its most embarrassing moments when news came in early Tuesday. An attempt had been made a day before to rape an additional civil judge in her "well protected" Aligarh home in the high-security 'Judge's Compound', an area that is under 24-hour Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) surveillance. In an FIR filed by the judge's family late Monday, the assailants were identified as Gopal Gupta from Bareilly and Pankaj Gupta from Farrukhabad. The 47-year-old judge was alone in the house when the attack occurred. Police said it was unclear how the men entered the residence. The judge, who had bruises on her body, had also been forced to swallow a toxic disinfectant. The two attackers apparently did that twice, perhaps thinking it would be potent enough to either render her unconscious or kill her. In the morning, the judge was rushed to JN Medical College for an examination, where she was declared to be out of danger. Her family later arrived from Bareilly and took her home, police said. "The family filed an FIR for attempt to rape and murder, and we are investigating the matter," SSP Nitin Tiwari said, adding that the accused would be charged under relevant sections of IPC 376 (rape), 458 (trespass), 328 (causing hurt by poisoning), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman), 507 (criminal intimidation) and 334 (voluntarily causing hurt or provocation). The incident, which has shaken the legal fraternity and the general public alike, has come at a time when the Samajwadi Party government in UP is being pilloried for its inability to contain lawlessness ever since news broke out of the rape and hanging of two teenaged sisters in Badaun on May 28. On Saturday, the body of a 20-year-old was found naked, her face disfigured with acid, in Baheri of Bareilly district. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Bid-to-rape-Aligarh-judge-at-high-security-home/articleshow/36018779.cms

Coz surely, there are some horrific rapes happening in BJP ruled states too. Those also should be brought out in news and negligence, if any, by the authorities be highlighted.

We as Indians are not responsible, its all governments fault It is not just an Indian problem. They happen everywhere. I just read a headline that "Rape more common than smoking in the US." Not much a govt can do about it. We, the people, the society, is at fault here. People have stopped thinking what is good or bad not just for them but for others. We are heading in a direction where we shouldn't be called humans and becoming leeches.

JaiRamesh2 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Yadavization of UP cops behind anarchy http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Yadavization-of-UP-cops-behind-anarchy/articleshow/36165826.cms According to UP home department sources, in major districts of UP, particularly those under the influence of the ruling Yadav family, nearly 60% police stations are headed by Yadav officers. In Badaun, where two minor girls were raped and hanged, 16 out of 22 police stations are headed by Yadav officers. Badaun is represented by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav's cousin Dharmendra Yadav in the Lok Sabha. Also, all five men accused of rape and murder of the two teenagers are Yadavs As a matter of fact, the demographic profile of UP's 1,527 police stations and outposts has changed in the past two years, since the SP came to power. In Kanpur, for instance, Yadavs head as many as 25 police stations out of 36. In Lucknow, more than 50% station officers are Yadavs.
