_Triple_H_ Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Sehwag's, Corey, Yusuf and most importantly Padey's innings came when it was most needed. But if we ignore match results, then Raina's was awesome. The fact that all his hits were clean and he ended up being run out.

At the time I thought I bet this innings will be forgotten when people are judging the innings of the tournament... lo and behold I've forgotten who that was and when it took place :( (It might have been Samson but not sure)

I rate 1st innings score more than 2nd innings in the context of T 20's. Raina had no choice but to go after every single ball when he came on to bat. Nobody would have questioned him if he had got out doing so. On the other end it was Sehwag's or Saha's decisions to go after the bowling the way they did. This conventional wisdom of rating 2nd innings ahead of 1st innings doesn't hold true for T 20.

Pressure of target is a different monster which most batsmen crumble under.
Number Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 The one that won the cup. So if Chawla hadn't fluked it would have made quality of Saha's innings better than Pandey's.
