Congrats Srilanka for beating India for the third time this year

omgggg .wat a run we r having of late .first we beat india in a one sided game in asia cup.secondly we beat india in t20 wc final when all of india expected india to maul us and thirdly yesterday even though we beat england ,the real hurt was the team india whom we just displaced from 2nd position of the ranking thus beating them for the third time in a row.now indian fans plz dont be biased and honestly accept that currently we r the best team in the world in odi cricket in al conditions and easily the best team from subcontinent.when the facts prooves that there is not much u indian fans can argue about.in our first 6 games against eng including odi n t20 we have already won 4 where as ind couldnot win a single game against sa and nz on last two away tours even though these two teams r weaker than eng in odi .and not to forget our last three tours of aus where we won 2-1,drew 2-2 and qualified for a cb series final where the third team was india n even went on to beat aus 4-3 that series though unfortunately the 3 we lost 2 r in finals .anyways another series win for us and i am going to enjoy another series win with a huge party :dance::dance::dance:

those who r thinking that ind missed asia cup due to dhoni,s absense or ind lost wc final due to one man,s poor performance then here is my point of view .in ct semi final when sl were cruising to a huge total with dilshan striking the ball well such a bad luck that he had to screw his ankle and go to pavillion nothing comes as bad luck as this .moreover this eng series shows how imp dilshan is for us n he even missed the carribean series.so stop frowning n just move on

First off, we are not an atg ODI team. never claimed to be. But we are the best ODI side in the world. Yes, better than the Lankans overall, but current form does favor the lankans. Second, yes, the lack of Dhoni matters. A batsman who averages 50+ at nearly run-a-ball rate is a huge part of the equation. Is team India still good enough to beat most teams without Dhoni ? maybe. But the fact of the matter is, Dhoni is an ATG limited overs bat and a serious consideration for an Alltime ODI side, let alone alltime Asian side. Saying Dhoni doesnt matter, is like saying West Indies in the 80s would've been just as good without Viv (ODIs) or Pakistan would've been just as good without Akram. That is clearly not the case. Chuck in Raina and its a decisive difference. Raina, for all his failings, is a gun ODI batsman and again, would be worth mentioning in an alltime India team context(Though IMO he doesnt make the cut, he comes close). Those two are far, far ODI are far, far better ODI players thank Dilshan and matthews, so the lack of Matthews and Dilshan, IMO, hurts SL less than lack of Dhoni/Raina hurts India, especially, Dhoni.

1. Matthews is NOWHERE close to being world best at anything. Or a top 5. He has some potential, but I;d take Dhoni, Yuvraj, ABDV, Hussey, Clarke, Eoin Morgan- the list is pretty much huge- over Matthews in the last 5 overs. 2. Dilshan is an opener. Raina is not. Openers and middle order bats are not comparable. 3. You guys are in better form currently. But we are the better outfit and over the last 2-3 years, we've held the distinct upper hand. Form is temporary, class is permanent. India, except for a brief period between 1995 and 2000, has always been a much, much better ODI team than the Lankans. Try to accept that.
