Kalia_Test Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Recently met Mr Asad Owaisi - our MP from Hyderabad as part of a charity group...came out as a nice guy...Informally asked him about his visit to Pakistan ( with a bit of apprehension )...he smiled and said he talked about his view on Pakistan and how muslims are treated there in a meeting and video is there in youtube... Got a bit of time today and searched for the video....here below it is...respect for our MP has increased more :hatsoff: 31zmj9pJEOc
jalebi_bhai Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Call me crazy......but deep down.........I have respect for Asaduddin Owaisi....... Yes......he habitually bashes the Hindus, BJP and the Sangh in general........but I think a lot of the angst is just rhetorical theatrics.......political gaali-galoch is par for the course really.......you need a bit of jingoism to turn the masses....... The reasons why I do have some sort of respect for him: 1) I like listening to people's opinion.......however far-fetched it maybe........try to understand their pov......... Unlike a lot of other Muslim leaders.......his brother included.......Asaduddin always talks about how Indian Muslims' loyalty lies with the nation first........not some Global Islamic Ummah....... In this regard.......he is a 1000% better than most secular leaders........ 2) He makes genuine appeals to fellow Muslims to work on uplifting themselves and their status in society....... I think he will tone down his vitriol if AIMIM becomes a more mainstream party........there are murmurs of a tacit understanding between the BJP and the AIMIM........with the AIMIM trying to divide the Muslim vote.......
hhunaeh Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 So his brother does the dirty work while asad bhai stays silent and says all the right things? Like modiji and the rest, and they have a tacit understanding too :haha:
Gollum Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Asad hates BJP,RSS,Modi fine. Even I don't approve of most of the policies and decisions of the Sangh and BJP. But Akbaruddin and in general followers of AIMIM are traitors. They applaud if Hindus die in accidents/terror attacks etc. Check their FB profiles. They live in Hyderabad but like Pakistani cricketers, are members of hate India/India related groups and their posts are cringeworthy. If this party isn't banned ASAP we are creating a monster which we can't possibly counter 10 years from now. Even Pakistanis have some humanity left compared to these rabid trouble makers.

And how do you justify chants heard on the streets of Aurangabad where MIM candidates won and chanted "Bhaag Hindu Owaisi aaya"?
asterix Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 And how do you justify chants heard on the streets of Aurangabad where MIM candidates won and chanted "Bhaag Hindu Owaisi aaya"? Well they are entitled to chant under the "freedom of speech and expression in its true spirit"...You should be ok with that... If you do not like it, don't hear it...

In most developed countries you have the freedom to express yourself (the argument I made in that thread discussing PK and other movies that expressed opinion on certain practices). It does not mean you intimidate others by using threatening language. I think you have not understood what the right to freedom of speech and expression truly means.

I don't think they are threatening. They are just trying to make fun of Hindus... Just like the funny scenes using Lord Shiva character in movie PK. All these is just for fun... Which comes under your freedom of speech...it would've been perfect in any of your developed countries... If you don't like it, just don't hear or read it... Simple...
Texan Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 No sir. Disect it however you want. "Bhaag Hindu Owaisi aaya" is a threat against a community. Right to freedom of speech and expression does not permit you to threaten/intimidate a person or a group. Politicians inciting mobs to attack a person/group should also be treated as a threat. Literature or art that expresses opinion should not be throttled. Otherwise, we would be no different from China or North Korea that censors everything.

All it's being said is to give equal share of these literary expression to all sections... We welcome literary expression which portrays equal measures of evils from all religion.. Not just focus mainly on one particular religion (which is easy) and mention some token things from other religions... Actually I'm saying that this freedom of expression should cover uniformly on all religion and let's see how it goes... Actually I really want to see proper freedom of expression regarding religions like Islam and Christianity in India.. Show me some examples... Chanting of "Bhaag Hindu Bhaag, Owaisi aya" is not threatening... Ask any secular here...
Number Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 _3-1UXxCf8Y Ram and Shyam game. Assad bhai plays secular, Akbar bhai the opposite.
Kalia_Test Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 And how do you justify chants heard on the streets of Aurangabad where MIM candidates won and chanted "Bhaag Hindu Owaisi aaya"? I am not qualified to justify anything but from what you wrote, it sounds very similar to threats made in UP by certain leaders that some community members need to go to Pakistan when Modi comes to power. Both are wrong, for the record
