zakk Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 In: Anders Herera, Luke Shaw, Vanja Milinković-Savić, Marcos Rojo, Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind, Radamel Falcao (loan with option to buy at the end of the season). Out:: Only the important ones here - Rio Ferdinand, Macheda, Vidic, Bebe, Evra, Kagawa, Welbeck (I would have wanted him to stay though). Nani and Hernandez out on Loan. All in all a very, very satisfying transfer window. Valencia, Young, Cleverley, Fletcher, and Anderson are still mediocre players in the squad but I hope they will be sold at a later stage. The contracts of Cleverley, Anderson, and Fletcher expire next year and I'm quite sure that most of them won't be renewed. those are good signings by MU :two_thumbs_up: now their squad looks more stronger with inclusion of some good experienced players and finally Arsenal signed Welbeck, at least he is more experienced than Sanogo :--D
Sachin=GOD Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Cleverly also loaned out to Aston Villa at the last moment :aha:
adi B Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 too many desperate signings from manutd (though hereira, blind,di maria were top notch).falcao is basically the back up for glasslegs rvp who will be injured for most of the season. united will most probably sign falcao come next summer when they can get some money by off loading unwanted players like mata, fellaini etc lvg missed on the opportunity to sign garray,de vrij who would've strengthened our defense
adi B Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 not too many quality players coming up from the youth academy but guys like keane, blacket, powell, januzaj should be given chances to play in the regular X1

IMO these signings are not desperate - it was a long time coming. Fergie went seasons without signing good players bcoz of "no value in the market" and last season was the club's worst performance in 20 years so obviously they were going to make changes. Thats the sad thing - Mata is a very good player and should be part of the starting XI always but it seems he's not in LVG's plans for the future. Agreed.
Number Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 On paper at least, the United attack looks to be the best in the league. Mata, Di Maria, Rooney, RVP, Falcao. omg, FIFA 14 esque.
rising Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Falcao will flop Well thats not certain many people said same about Costa and look how he doing at Chelsea and Falcao goal scoring was phenomenal in previous club if you look at it too many desperate signings from manutd (though hereira, blind,di maria were top notch).falcao is basically the back up for glasslegs rvp who will be injured for most of the season. united will most probably sign falcao come next summer when they can get some money by off loading unwanted players like mata, fellaini etc lvg missed on the opportunity to sign garray,de vrij who would've strengthened our defense Yes desperate signing but they were needed even Falcao was not necessary if you option getting a striker of his class you should buy I would say the most important signings are Blind and Hererra this to player absolutely need to succeed Mata would be good if he is given space and moment the problem is we have very static (zombie) play were players don't move into space or seem to have intent If we need sell some one of RVP or Rooney Although RVP is good he is very injury prone and Rooney is very inconsistent Well it would have been good if had signed a good defender but it think we can cope better when Rojo,Rafael, Shaw come probably with Jones and Evans as other defender if we are playing 4-3-3 and midfield which can hopefully provide link up between defense and attack

Financially.......it makes no sense......short term or long term........He is 28 going on 29, recovering from his second ACL injury (look up what ACL injuries are) and has not played regular competitive football for more than half a year......Utd. have essentially paid Monaco 24 million to rehabilitate Falcao for one year.....plus....new league, new manager and new playing system......If he comes good.....then it will be lauded as a master stroke rather than a panic buy.... kumar713 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 8sKDObDbdww Asmir Begovic's goal vs. Southampton last season has entered The Guinness Book of World Records for the 'longest goal scored in football'.
Shane Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The wind at the Britannia stadium had a part to play, but Boruc was caught off his line by Begovic. Southampton equalised and the game ended in a draw I guess.
Old guy Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 :cantstop: Epic :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

I hate it when decent players move to Russia. Really makes you wonder what the Utd scouts are doing. £12mill apparently. Yeah the squad still has no balance. Both Utd and Arsenal need a def mid and both signed a forward they dont really need... though Welbeck will help Arsenal if played through the middle he will score

BeautifulGame Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Liverpool to sign Valdes on free next month http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-sign-victor-valdes-next-4167503
Shane Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 United way = losing to Dons in the first round :cantstop:
SLICKR392 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 United way = losing to Dons in the first round :cantstop: Yeah. :cantstop: Despite falling flat on the ground they still manage to piss people off.
