Gambit Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Awesome chase. Hats off to YK and Afridi(played well for a change) Absolutely ugh middle order batting and bowling from India. Oh well, the series is well and truly alive now.
Cricketics Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 man it hurtz that we didn't score 350+ today after a great foundation laid by Tendulkar-Gambhir anywayz..
Gambit Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 It was about time Pak won a game against us anyway :D
ludhianvi Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 :finger: 3 decisions against India and there was that 5 ball over. Anyways, pakistan played well enough to just win it
coffee_rules Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Yes, Good batting from them. Bad bowling and fielding by both teams. Shows we miss Dravid so much as a finisher in ODIs.
Lurker Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Well played Afridi. Hopefully thats the one innings of significance that he shall play in this series.
beetle Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Yes, Good batting from them. Bad bowling and fielding by both teams. Shows we miss Dravid so much as a finisher in ODIs. They aren't taking him....
beetle Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 :embaressed_smile:So much for a boring series.
Predator_05 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 More a case of India losing it rather than Pakistan winning it. Congratulations anyway
Ram Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 3 catches dropped.. one off YK, one of Misbah and another of Afridi/Tanveer.. cost us the match...
Guest HariSampath Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Pakistan played very well, chasing 322 against India in India is no mean task, they paced the inngs very well, that was the key Younis was brilliant. We could have closed it out after Mizbah's dismissal, but we scrd it up and frankly our bowling didn't deserve to win today
ali0786 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 wow, what a great game that was. I nearly had a heart-attack! I cant believe Afridi took us through. He really wanted to win it by himself to overcome that terrible collapse in the 5th odi against SAF. Great game!
theguyinallblue Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 many decisions went against us... but anyway...nice game... now there will be some interest in the series... it also exposed some chinks in the armoury of Team India.. Zaheer has been very pale since australia series.. he needs to pull his sock up...need the pace, seam and aggression of Sreesanth..to add more variety.. Munna...where are you...do some hardwork boy.....and come back in team...with a bang..
Holysmoke Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Pathan had 3 LBW's not given. Yousuf, and Younis. That cost us the game. The "unpredictability of the umpires, and the exitement it brings", is the reason we lost. So that the game would be "exciting"......

Well.. it was exciting... second last ball finish.. see what i told ?
Holysmoke Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Well.. it was exciting... second last ball finish.. see what i told ? :tounge_smile:I'm sorry. I'd rather have the better team winning with 5 overs to spare, as compared to the lesser team winning with 1 ball to spare.
Ram Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I'm sorry. I'd rather have the better team winning with 5 overs to spare' date=' as compared to the lesser team winning with 1 ball to spare.[/quote'] Well you see.. the better team would have won , had that stupid Zaheer Khan bowled properly... And what would you say had India won by 2 runs ? Still, the match would have been exciting and you would have been all happy then...
