What's going on? Bareilly: The body of Rakesh Rastogi, a BJP leader, was found in his car on the Baheri highway in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district on Saturday evening. Mr Rastogi, a resident of Kiccha in Uttarakhand, had gone missing on Friday. He was reportedly stabbed multiple times and was found with his hands tied behind his back. In her complaint, Niranjan Jyoti has said that while she was returning from the ceremony, one Bhanu Patel along with his three aides attacked her and opened fire. The MP said that her security officer Rahul Tiwari sustained serious injuries in the scuffle with the attackers. While the other attackers were chased away by locals, Bhanu Patel has been arrested by police. Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar Singh said that the attack was executed in a pre-planned manner over an old rivalry.
