Can We afford both Jadeja and Binny in the same X1

2 bits and pieces cricketers in the same X1 who will once in a while comie up with some mercurial performances. Anyways Kudos to Binny for his effort today,Might have just been Bangladesh but totally well deserved :hatsoff:

Ok Imagine a collapse on a seaming wicket...India at 40/5....so our next 3 will be Dhoni,Jaddu and Binny??? on flat/slow pitches and turning tracks case made for Jaddu though.

what other options do you have?play 7 batsmen?the top 5-6 need to do their job.we shouldnt be 40-5 if we pick good batsmen

The problem is if one batsman gets stuck into them say they go for 2 overs for 20-25 runs,there is no coming back like most front line bowlers and as batsmen they are not reliable to finish games or dig us out of a hole. So we shouldn't get too excited....I will bet big money right now that playing these 2 in the same X1 will be a disaster especially in Australia or England ODI's for the matter of fact Jaddu is O.K as of now in the stop gap option

Credit where due for his performance though but can you imagine him bowling to the hitters in Australia,Newzealand or South Africa on a flat pitch. Also in hindsight Dhoni should have atleast given him a couple of overs in Newzealand conditions over Raina and Kohli when he was obliged to play him over ...shows how braindead Dhobi is.

you havent answered my question.What other options you have? Our main bowlers get smacked too at times.and our batsmen fail.They are not reliable now but by playing more they can be better.Jaddu has shown improvement already from what he came as.hes our frontline spinner and has played crucial knocks at no.7.with more experience he'll hopefully get better I have lesser hopes from Binny but too early to write him off. We shouldnt play specialists just for sake of it,they have to be good

Ask Chepu(ICF), being a Yadav fan, he himself agreed a half decent batsman would have put him away for more runs. And if anything, most people credited him for the spell on that flat track, including Lord.
