The image which automatically flashes in our minds of ‘India and Pakistan’ is of deep-seated hatred, anger against each other, the existence of a huge wall, and of two nations which are always at loggerheads. What we often fail to realise is that there is actually no such animosity and the wall which we all keep talking about is only created by us, a product of our imagination. Zee TV, in an attempt to connect hearts or ‘Jodey Dilo Ko’, has launched the channel ‘Zindagi’ which showcases the best content from Pakistan. Zindagi was launched on June 23, 2014 and it has started with four daily one-hour Pakistani shows which have been acquired by the network. It is for the first time that an Indian TV channel will allow its viewers a peek into the lives of their neighbouring country. The channel will follow the content mix for the initial few months, whereby it will primarily concentrate on fiction, mini-series, long-series and telefilms. Reality show and movies will follow, once the channel has managed to create an ‘emotional connect’ with its viewers.
The reaction is apparently very good with lot of praise on twitter with both the common man and some celebrities too. What do you guys think?

First they will start this, and then some of the paki serial actors will be invited to work in indian serials and then their people will say. 1`, We dominate indian television 2, Indian television was struggling now because of us it has survived. 3, Without us Indian television will not be there etc. so no this is unwanted.

So you do not agree that watching Pakistani dramas, would bring their culture to our homes and end Indian culture?

Good move. Pakistani serials are far better than the Indian one's. Watched Aun Zara with the parents when they were visiting and we all loved it. The best thing about pak serials is that they end on time.

i think shows that would be slotted in between the regular channels would've been a more beneficial marketing ploy at the start.

watched "VICE Guide to Karachi: Pakistan's Most Violent City" on youtube... It was funny in the beginning and sad at the end, with interview of a contract killer, people taking herione shots...and ends with a quote which goes as 'jine karachi nai vekhya o mareyai nahi' made from a famous quote on lahore - 'Jine Lahore Nai Vekhya O Jamyai Nai' Its a very good watch.
