India's strike rate in the past 3 years overseas

In the 2000s we had great batting line up who would put up good total and use the total pressure to pick wickets. Nowadays we lack both 1) We don't bat the opposition out like we used to 2) Even if we did we don't have bowlers to exploit scoreboard pressure 3) Even if they bowl our kaptaan use them defensively The strike rates of our bowlers are more like one wicket every 11 overs. Top 3 in this list is not with the squad. Best strike rates by Indian bowlers in England in the last 10 years Zaheer 45.4 in 2007 series RP singh 46.2 in 2007 series Kumble 61.5 in 2007 series outside this series Praveen 63.4 in 2011 series Next is Yuvraj 72, Sreesanth 75.3 in 2007, Sreesanth also had 83.2 in 2011. Ishant sharma 94.6 strike rate in 2011 series. If we are going to pick a wicket every 15 overs.. there is no way we can take 20 wickets. Who can do this job even with scoreboard pressure.

Spinners strike rates are appalling Jaddu 100 Ashwin 140 Mishra 162 Harbhajan 209 Raina and Yuvi are better than them. We produce so many average spinners nobody is outstanding. Wonder if Chawla would have been a better bet. Picked 36 wickets at 27 made 259 for sussex

Kumble and Bhajji for all their wickets @home stunk overseas and one of the main reasons why India did not have great success overseas in 2000s. We might have expected too much from Ashwin, all Indian spinners have struggled overseas. Not even giving him a chance to prove himself so far is not fair at all.They have no more side matches so how the heck will he prove himself.

kumble did well on is last Australian tour. Atleast when kumble was not picking wickets he used to hold up. Kumble accuracy was spot on used to bowl same line and length and keep drying up runs. Ashwin doesnt understand that from his recent statements when there is no help he doesn't hold up or doesn't like to.Ashwin played in SA, NZ and Australia so our statement proves you love promoting your state players nothing apart from that.

It took years for kumble to do reasonably well overseas that too in some countries.let us not kid ourselves even the so called great spinners in 70s stunk in England. unlike Warne/Murali or even Mushtaq we never had spinners who have bamboozled batsmen overseas yes there have odd performances here and there but largely they have very ineffective compared to their stats @home. Chandra was one but he was so hit and miss. Our spinners are so reliant on pitches doing the job for them they tend just float the ball rather than get the dip and drift which is needed here.

Those numbers from Ishant are absolutely appalling. Seriously, averaging 50 over 4 years with a strik rate of 83 and not even keeping a good economy. WTF.
